Alex falls to her knees, out of breath. Why did people always make her so mad? She cries to herself as she catches her breath. Nobody would look for her here, hopefully...
Aidan decides to walk around the grounds for a while before going back to his dorm. He walks through the field heading toward the first when he thought he heard someone crying and decides he better make sure everything is okay.
Alex can't catch her breath. She breathes heavily. Man, she needed to stop sprinting so far...
Aidan goes over and sees Alex. Oh. She looked okay- she'd see him if she looked up- maybe he'd better just go...
Alex sits back. Pulling her knees to her chest, she puts her chin on her knees. She traces a picture in the dirt in front of her, a rose. Under it, she writes 'In memory of Marie Juliett.' she sighs, the thought of her sister hurting her worse.
((Lol ik that its a bare spot))
Aidan sighs to himself- there's no way he can leave Alex sitting by herself- she'd just have to kill him.he walks over.
Alex doesnt notice him beside her. She looks up and startles. "What do you want?" she says miserably.
Alex sighs. "I'm just running away from everyone." She says, wiping her cheeks. "That new guy... Simmons? I really don't like him, but I cant do anything without making him explode..."
"What'd he do?" Adan says immediately upset. Nothing simple could have made Alex angry enough to cry . Had he hurt Matt?
Alex growls. "V..." is all she can say without getting upset again. "I wanted to hurt him but he is like lightning or something..."
Aidan winces, "Yeah lightning and hydrokinesis- that wouldn't be good. I doubt that Roni or Matt will let him get away with whatever he did. Maybe he didn't necessarily mean to?" he didn't know the full story so maybe he should choose his words carefully as not to upset Alex.
Alex shakes her head. "No, he told me he did... And threatened to do it again... I can't do anything about it!" She complains.
Alex shakes her head again. "He can't! Ruby made a mess of everything..." She slams her hand ino her dirt spot, and the picture disappears.
"But she almost killed Matt!" Alex states. "She needs to just lock herself away so she cant do any more harm."
"You didn't mean to." Alex points out. "And good, she doesn't belong out here."
"She's a spoiled brat. Nothing but the lights and fame for her. Show off." She mutters. "And you really think I have a family? My sister died in a train wreck a year after my family was killed in a mass shooting!"
"I don't have any family Alex. No aunts. No uncles. No cousins. I'd kill to have someone who was flesh and blood and you do and you despise her." And you think she is a spoiled brat. "You have no idea how lucky you are. And you're not even trying to get along." Aidan says getting angry and starts to walk off.
Alex rolls her eyes. "Yup ticked another person off." she says to herself and lays back into the grass.
Aidan storms off from the field heading back to his dorm. Why was she so angry and stubborn all the time? He didn't understand how Matt got along with her so well.
Roni helps push Matts wheelchair to the field. She grunts,"Why can't she have an easily accessible hiding place?" she complains.
Matt laughs. "She likes remote places." He says. He catches sight of Alex. "Hey!" He calls. "You started stargazing without me?" He wags his finger up and down. "Shame on you." He smiles with his lopsided grin.
Roni smirks,"She'll bring you back I'm sure I should leave you guys alone." she says wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.
Alex jumps, startled. Great... She covers her face. "What do you want now?" she complains.
Matt smiles. "It's alright." He leans forward, and takes her hand in his. "I'm not angry. Or disappointed. Or anything else you think." He winks at her. "I'm actually pretty happy."
Alex sighs. "Why?" she asks, still not showing her face.
"Because, for once, everything is calm." He motions to the field. The sun is setting in the distance, and the stars are just peeking out. Spring peepers are tweeting noisily. He looks down at Alex again. "There's nothing to be afraid of, darling. It's just me."
Alex looks up. "I'm not scared." She says quietly.
Matt smiles gently. "Then what's wrong, Alex?" He asks quietly.
She sighs. "My life, Matt. Everything." She states blankly.
Matt strokes her hand, trying to find a way to help. "What's so bad about it?" He asks. "You've got friends that care for you, you've got me, you've got a job, you've got music."
"I've got a cousin that almost killed you, I've got random people hurting my best friend, I've got Aidan sticking up for Ruby, and I can't control my own emotions." Alex finishes.
Matt sighs. "'But yet as the night goes ever on, with it's troubles and despairs, morning will always come.'" Matt quotes. "Everything will blow over eventually." Matt says, giving her hand a little squeeze. "All you have to do is stay strong."
Alex sits up. "I guess." She says, not really wanting to say anything.
Matt sighs. "Alex, you know you can come to me when you have a problem. You don't have to run away by yourself."
She lowers her head. "I know, just... running away is what I've always done. If I can't handle it, I run."
"Well," Matt says. "Let me handle it with you. Let me help give you strength."
Alex sighs. "You're not always around, Matt..." She replies quietly. "And look what happened because of all of this..."
