Let's see what we'd like to read next. I'm looking for the first 10 nominations for the January-February Group Read.

Avoid books in the middle of a series, unless we've already read the first one for a group read. Keep the size reasonable and be sure the book is readily available in libraries and bookstores.

Let the nominations begin!

Sarah I'd like to nominate The Tooth Fairy by Graham Joyce. It's been on my TBR for ages and I have enjoyed Joyce's other books.

Goodreads doesn't give a huge amount of info on the book but I have written below what appears on the back of the book:
"Sam Southall and his friends Terry and Clive were like any gang of normal young boys. Roaming wild around the outskirts of their car factory town. Daring adults to challenge their freedom.

Until the night Sam wakes up to find a Tooth Fairy sitting at the edge of his bed. Not the gentle figure all children believe in. But a malevolent, nightmarish presence. Taunting him for his fears and limitations. Opening up the dark side of himself...

Is she real or is she just some part of his tortured imagination? And how much is she to blame for the catastrophes to come? For as Sam grows from childhood to adolescence, so the fairy will stay with him. Luring him towards the hidden, black depths of his character...

The Tooth Fairy is the luminous novel from award-winning fantasy author Graham Joyce. Consumed with menace and danger, it is a haunting journey through the mythic, fairytale landscape of childhood and adolescence."

Bill Tooth Fairy sounds great!

I'll offer up "And The Mountains Echoed" by Khaled Hossein.

Ann (annrumsey) | 466 comments The Tooth Fairy looks like a really good nomination! Some Kind Of Fairy Tale by the same author was stellar! (not nominating that one, just saying...)

We have talked about reading a book by Linwood Barclay and I have heard that this book is really good and this is the author's newest book.

Victoria (RedsCat) (redscat) I nominate The Liars' Club by Mary Karr.

Hi Michelle. I'm sorry to report that neither of your books qualify because they weren't read and recommended by Stephen King. To see a list of books that qualify you can view the bookshelf here:sai-king-recommends bookshelf.

If you find a book with a blurb or review, let me know and I'll add it to the bookshelf.

Sorry about the bad news.

Janice, are you going to read The Tooth Fairy with us?

Just wait until you read Chapter 26 and then take a look at your current avatar!☻

I decided to give myself a small break and pass on the group read for Jan/Feb. It does sound intriguing though. :)
