LOL, an ambitious 25 extra categories. But I'm not finished, almost but not quite done. 31 books of 33 done, so only 23 extras read. I've got 1 in progress and then one more and I've got 17 days.

I agree that the Ex-con level of 8 books, could easily be done in a quarter (though I JUST finished my 8th book for the 2013 challenge), but the Lifer level of 24 books might take longer than 3 months.

From Page to Screen - A book that has been adapted (or is being adapted) for the Movies or TV - tell us what you thought of the adaption (and no, this isn't just an excuse for me to finally read Gone Girl).
1. Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane, 4/5 stars (08/23/14) The movie adaptation was very true to the book.
2. The Firm by John Grisham, 4/5 stars (10/15/14). It has been quite a few years since I've seen the movie version, but I don't recall the ending being the same. Perhaps because I did see the movie first, I didn't find the book very suspenseful. But I did like the book a lot!
3. The Client by John Grisham, 5/5 stars (October 31, 2014). LOVED the book. The movie was very good, too. The character Reggie Love was much more developed in the book (hard to do that in a movie), and the mother was stronger, I think, in the book. Whereas I liked the movie "The Firm" better than the book, with "The Client" I liked the book better. But hey - Grisham's work is hard not to love and it does tend to adapt fairly well to the big screen so I'm not exactly complaining about the movie version . . .
Oh, Mr Serial Killer, please kill my cereal... - When it comes to Crime, there are a lot of series, start a new one, or pick up one you've left for a while. Or read something that involves serial killers.
1. Dying to Read by Lorena McCourtney, 5/5 stars (03/14/14)
2. Cloche and Dagger by Jenn McKinlay, 4/5 stars (06/21/14)
3. Dying in Style by Elaine Viets, 3/5 stars (06/25/14)

For example ... for the Page-To-Screen option could I read The Wonderful Wizard of Oz? (Definitely made into a movie, but it's not a mystery)
