The fact is, we can tell from standing on Earth that it is round, using how the horizon dips and shadows.

A: Not enough people take this site seriously for it to be perceived as a threat by those involved in the Conspiracy. Shutting it down, however, might open them up to suspicion.

A: Not really. You could do it with a few hundred men and some basic equipment. But even so there's no reason to assume the Ice Wall is guarded; the harsh conditions of the region make it very difficult to reach anyway.

A: It was specially constructed by NASA to be so. After all, NASA is at the heart of the conspiracy.

And apparently - this whole conspiracy deal started with the start of the Space Race when both the Russians and Americans realized they couldn't get into space..
And what's funny is that all this can be traced back to political disputes between two opposing views...

What dictates to humanity- solid proof? What makes us believe and what if there was something, someone that was bigger, more powerful that could provide us with "fake" evidence that could satisfy all our primitive tools of analysis:
five senses and then commen sense and comfortable evidence....

I think the most interesting part is their explanation for gravity. That instead of a force pulling mass down...the Earth is moving up at a constant 9.8m/s^2 ...so when you jump...you don't come right back down- rather everything comes up to you.
Yeah. They believe that sub saharan africa in fact hangs over into the pits of hell, which is why there are lions, cheetas, and black people.

Am I the only other person that thought of Terry Pratchett's Discworld? This is absolutely ridiculous, why would they believe such a thing :/ An epic hoax to fool the whole world for money. I suppose curiosity and the urge to understand the unknown is not something they'd accept as an explanation.
And lizzy, we why would we be flat if we lived on a flat world? And I think they believe that the sky is domed. Sort of like a bowl over a platter, or something. Also, Terry Pratchett's flat world is more awesome than God's :D

Um, the sky looks round because it's everywhere you look - up, left, right, forwards, backwards. Even if the Earth were flat, you would still see the sky in all these directions.

Wait, didn't we prove the world was round in 1492 (columbus sailed the ocean blue)? I honestly don't know how they can think something like that...
Yeah, Galileo, right? But no one believed him...I dunno, it's kind of ridiculous to me that we're debating if the world is round, seeing as all of us agree it is.
