Ｈｕｎｇｅｒ Ｇａｍｅｓ discussion

District 8 is one of the poorer districts of Panem. Its main industry is making textiles and clothing. They make Peacekeeper uniforms.

Rowenna walked to the meeting point. The meeting point was where Rowenna went to meet up with her boyfriend

The day was glorious, the sun shined bright in the sky. Though there were many clouds, Karn didn't give a crap. Though, the weather did make him happy to meet up with Rowenna in their usual meeting place. It was a place nobody ever really went to after it closed about a few years back during the second uprising from thirteen. The place's name run in his head, making him walk faster.

The abandoned warehouse.

"Karn," Rowenna called in to the air. "Karn"

Rowenna's voice echoed threw the warehouse, which Karn stopped. He looked at the warehouse for a second before finally entering.

"Rowenna? You there?"

Karn's husky, deep voice echoed threw the warehouse as he looked around.

"Here" she said then ran out to hug Karn who she hadn't seen all day. "Where've you been?"

"Ugh, the factories. It's a pain in the rear when your working." Karn replied. "I've been trying to find time to get out of work but it's getting too busy these days, since the games are coming up."

Karn knew it was a complete lie, and he knew the truth would make Rowenna go berzerk. But he knew he wanted to do what he could to escape the life he has, and to make it better for Rowenna and him.

"I know you're lying." Rowenna said. " You've done it a lot lately.."

Karn sighed in a defeated tone, he then shakes his head.

"You would never approve, i can guarantee it." he said.

"I need to know K"

Karn sighs again, this time deeper.

"I'm going to volunteer this year." he said. "I've been gone because i've been training."

"No, K" Rowenna said "Your only going if I volunteer with you. Teach me what I need to know to survive."

Karn was alarmed, this was the problem with Rowenna. Always determined... Always smiling with joy. But she couldn't imagine his Rowenna in a blood soaked shirt with a knife in her hand.

"I don' know, Row. W-What if you die? Only one comes out of that arena."

"I know but if you die, I won't be able to live."

"I know but if you die, I won't be able to live."

"It would be the same thing with me. I-I an't put you in the middle of a fight to the death. I've attempted to make contact with one of my friends in a nearby district, she said that if she was chosen she would help." He looked at Rowenna.

"You Remember Mute, Right?"

"You might've mentioned her once, but not really."

"Really? Huh, I though i mentioned her. Well, she said that she would help if she was chosen. She knows a few others in the outlying districts that can help as well." He then sighs,"Okay, i guess i can't get mad at you for wanting the same fate that's i'm making for me."

"That doesn't ensure your safety." Rowenna said. "Please don't do it and I won't do it either."

"I don't like this life we have." He explained. "I-I don't want to work in factories and work for the clowns known as the 'capitol'. I want freedom and a good life for us.... for you...."

Karn smiled slowly evolved on his face.

"Fine then, but I'm coming with you." she said seriously but hugged him anyway,

"Okay... So, first thing's first; what are your standards?" He asked.

"My what?"

"My what?"

"Standards, like. DO you want to be the stealthy kind? Come up behind victims and stab them in the head? Or something like a close combat fighter? Sword fight with you opponent."

"stealthy, thats me. ha ha."

Karn chuckles, the technical strategy did suit Rowenna. Seeing that her size made her fast and hard to catch.

"Well, when do we get started?" Rowenna said looking ready to go. She stood up tall to make her look taller than Karm

Though Karn stood at a towering 6,2. He smiled.

"We can actually start now if you want?" he asked.

"yes, now." Rowenna said firmly.

"what do I do first? "

Karn walked over to one of the empty storage bins and took out what looked like wolverine claws. But, the exeption was that they were gloves.

"These, are knuckle claws." he said.

"What do they do?"

"They basically slash at things. Like.."

He walked up to an old bag hanging off the ceiling, then sliced into to.

"When used properly, they can do some critical damage."

"And you are sure they'll be in the Corn"

Karn nods.

"Four years in a row, Row, Four years..."

"Let's get started K." she took the claws and started slashing at trees. she was a natural.

Karn leaned onto a tree as he watched her.

"Like that" Rowenna panted. she was out of breath. For 15 minutes she had practiced with the claws.

Karn nodded.

"Now... since you found a weapon you like, now we've got to work on bringing your stamina up."

"how?"

"Running, sprinting, exercising."
