I think that I am regressing back to my student days and all the term papers and book reviews that I had to do(History Major). This will be so much more fun! I will start on January 1, 2014.

If you want a book set in West Virginia for the most part (well over 70%), read Daughter of the Stars.

This entry is dated a little over 2 years from my first entry. I have had a bit of a problem finding fiction books of 500 pages or more so I will adjust. For # 9 I will read books from a series that will total 500+ pages. This will also help me become current on my many series reads!
Another Update several years later as I am still working on this but not as diligently as I should. I become so envolved with other challenges. I am adding another revisions to # 9. To attain the 500+ pages, I will also allow more than one book by the same author but not necessarily a series.
Categories
1. Free book-no designation except 50% of the setting must be in the designated state.
2. State Capital or one of the largest populated cities
3. Rural or small city setting
4. Book nominated or received any Literary Award
5. Historical Fiction genre
6. Any Mystery genre
7. Children/YA genre
8. Non-Fiction genre
9. At least 500 pages
10.Read a book by an author that is native to the state. Book does not have to have 50% setting requirement.
