Why I joined Kenyon Minions:
I joined Kenyon Minions when I first joined Goodreads because at the time it was the only quality book series I had ever read and wanted to talk about with other like minded individuals. I’ll be honest and even say that just like I feel now, back then most other series have never really compared to this one at all for me. Had my humor, my kind of flare for adventure, caring for friends and family. Even the betrayals were so real and so relatable. So couldn’t imagine not being around peeps that felt the same way.

Why I Joined Kenyon Minions: I joined the day I re signed up for goodreads. I have always loved Sherrilyn Kenyon and was looking to get involved on this site. This was the perfect opportunity and everyone loved the same series I did!
Why I Became A Mod: It was about a week after I joined and Cherale (DHfan) sent out a broadcast saying she was looking for another Mod. I immediately threw my name in, even though I just joined and wasn’t very active. I wanted to be a big part of this group and help out in any way I could and I saw that as my opportunity. Of course, before I was made mod, I got very active and got to know tons of people. I wouldn’t trade being a mod at all! I love doing it!
This is awesome. Glad to know you all and thanks for making this group so active. we(members) are happy to join this group to Share common interest *wink wink* Keep up the good work;))<3

Dhfan4life wrote: "Glad everyone is receptive to the profiles. :)"Well ya, Gracie is in a sweater and has a "I hate life" look on her face. I'm receptive to how funny it is.
LOL, I told you she turns into a "I can just kill you or die first...wait what's my name?" thing going on in that sweater haha. The neighbors love it though too. She is cute as hell but so warm she can barely remember how to do anything in it.
Hey ModsSo awesome to read about each person and why this thread is soooooo COOL!! but I love it when I get mail cause it makes me feel important hehe. But most of all its the love of Sherrilyn Kenyon books and others. So from me to you
You guys do such a great job. I'm glad I am not the only who has re signed up for goodreads. Ove the last six months I have really gotten active and I know it's because of joining groups with awesome moderators. Keep the GREAT work up ladies!!!

Pretty cool that you guys let us have a peek into your world.

Did you ever get sick of that song? :D

Haha! Yeah my momma and grandma were huge fans of that songs. I was more embarrassed than sick of it when people sing it or it came on the radio. Haha! Had a teacher that whenever she did rollcall or announced me for something, sang my name. Luckily for my parents I am a Stevie fan too lol
Aww that's cute Shari. At least folks could say your name. I've been called Charlie, Charlotte, even Share-all, heavy emphasis and drawl on the a for some reason.

Oh wow! We never appreciate things when we are kids, but I could see where that could be a little embarrassing, especially at school. I think it was very creative of your mom and granny.

Lol that is cray cray. Share-alll!! What in the world!?Not really though. If its pronounced like the song, you're not saying my name right. lol! Its not Cher-re. Its Sha (hard "A") -re
And from just looking at it, people have called me Sherry, Sarah, Cherry, or Sharay
Haha I know. That particular teacher was lucky cause he was my pottery class instructor. If I didn't love that class so much, I would have totally corrected him all the time. But yea I don't get it either. As when you pronounce my name it is the hard A sound too. Che + rale and rale is said same way you would say it when you are talking about ginger ale. No long A sounds after the A at all. To which my mom has always told me she named me after Cher and ginger ale when she was preggars with me.
I love that your momma was creative enough to put that together :-)Your name consists of her favorite things. Thats so nice
Thanks. Although at times I sometimes wished it was something simpler. Cause growing up in majority white schools getting the eye rolls from some my classmates over my name and then substitute teachers stumbling over saying it. Just didn't make me feel good at the time. But hey I'm working with it now and can only hope be equally as creative one day.
Total dream of mine NanaVamp. But have yet to attend unfortunately. Closest I've been to SK was a Evening with the Authors event back in September I believe it was. She came to a city not too far from me, mostly told great stories, did some Q and A stuff, signed some books and took pics. And even nabbed two cupcakes on the way out at the end. Was totally awesome and made my year. How was the Con? Always sounds so great. Busy but great.
The costumes that were worn ~ were amazing. This year was extra special this year because she had one of here great parties around Styxx's release. Those who were at D*C received the book one day early. It was exciting being there for the release. She gives bear hugs, too. She treats all of her fans as friends. If u go to youtube search for Dragon Con 2013 you should get a lot of videos.I'll probably go in 2015 ~ I'll be 70 yrs old ~ so its at the top of my bucket list!! HUGS
Sounds truly awesome. And that is great. I'm just 27 but to go is for sure on my bucket list as well. Would love to costume up as well too.
Hi my name is Michelle. I have neen a member for a while. I mainly do this on my phone so I don't normally get to do group discussions. I qm a new mom, as well as have 4 other kids, and love to read when ever I can find time.
Nice to meet you too Maureen. Hope y'all stick around in the near future, we'll be setting up a thread where we can get to know y'all better too. :-)

This was taken at my sister's college graduation in 2014
Name: Charlotte (Yes, I was named after the oh-so-famous spider.)
Duties:
Pretty much helping out wherever I can, lol. Which includes:
-Help greet new members
-Help answer member questions
-Assisting with BOTM discussions
-Assisting with Broadcast Messages
-Coming up with the occasional Question of the Day
-Helping create new polls
-Helping bring life into threads
And other stuff, as it comes up. XD
Favorite Book Genres:
Fantasy, Historical Romance, Paranormal ... but in all honesty, I like a little bit of everything.
Interests:
Aside from reading, I also enjoy gaming (especially the Elder Scrolls series and Royal Envoy), as well as dabbling in 3D art, and a smidgen of crochet and sewing. I love watching movies, especially comedies (I'm a HUGE fan of Mel Brooks).
Why I joined Kenyon's Minions:
I love to discuss and speculate about books with an ongoing story arc. And as I got further into the DH and CON series, I wanted to discuss the books with other fans of the books--hence, this group. In fact, this group is the reason I signed up for Goodreads. =)
Other tidbits about me:
Over the past couple of months, I answered some questions about me in the QOTD thread, so I'll recap here for everyone. =)
Let's see ...
-I'm not keen on reality TV shows; in fact, I avoid them like the plague
-Autumn is my favorite season
-If I were to choose a superhero as a potential romantic interest, it's the Green Arrow all the way (and I now have a cougar crush on Stephen Amell)
-I do love my book series (J.K. Rowling, Nora Roberts, J.R.R. Tolkien, Kate Perry, and Karen Marie Moning currently top my list of series authors--after our Author Goddess, of course. ;D)
-I've been hooked on SK ever since I read Night Pleasures
-Um ... we won't talk about the last worst book I read (it was so traumatic, I stopped halfway through Chapter 2, I think)
-The first non children's book given to me, was The Call of the Wild, by Jack London.
-My dream job would be a lab technician
-If I could move anywhere I wanted, I would move to Scotland in a heartbeat (since I'm part Scottish) ...
... and I prefer boxers to briefs. ;)

We thought to make things a little more helpful for everyone. My fellow mods and I thought it would be both fun and informative to share with you all a mini profile about us with a pic. So you can know us a little better and know who to ask if you have specific questions about things.
