Isolda walked in. "Could you make me a new sword?" She asked
Kira did not find any possible providers at the bar so she wandered around town looking for men. She stopped in to the blacksmith's to see who was working.
"Hello." Isolda said curtly, noticing the girl. She was dressed in racy clothing. "Why are you here and what is your name?" She questioned her with an accusing tone.
Kira raised an eyebrow at the woman noting her tone. Quite a few people responded that way. "I am visiting this town so I decided I would familiarize myself with it. My name is Kira" she said evenly. She couldn't stand women who thought themselves better than her based of looking at her superficially.
"Hmm. And are you a villager?" She asked.
Kira tilted her head to the side slightly considering the woman. "Yes" she said shortly
"Ah, are you the blacksmiths daughter or have a another profession?" She questioned. Isolda knew she was being nosy, but this girl seemed different.
"No. I am not the blacksmith's daughter or anyone's daughter anymore" she said shoving away the sadness that still liked to creep up sonetimes. "I support myself with a sort of profession"
Isolda prevented herself from asking more questions, the girl seemed quite sad. "Oh dear..." She trailed off. "How sad. You know, both my parents are dead." She added helpfully.
((Hey. Will you post in the forest? two characters need your healer. we'll move it to youe house once you comment there))
Kira wished that is was as simple as her parents being dead. "I am sorry. I am dead to my parents. Not the other way around" she said forcing her voice to stay calm. She still had some rage along with the sadness. It was their fault she was like this.
"Oh, sorry." Isolda whispered, for once being quiet.
Kira smiled slightly. "It's alright though. I am doing well enough on my own" she said lying slightly to make the girl feel better. She would be better off once she found a new protector though she would not be happier.
"Do you need money?" she offered. She pulled out a purse full of gold and gave it to her.
Kira furrowed her brow. Was this woman helping her? No one ever helped her... She looked around. Was this a trick? "I cannot take your money. I will manage" she said unnerved slightly by the situation
"No, no, you need it more." Isolda insisted.
Kira hesitantly took it. "Thank you" she said still unsure. This would keep her for a little while so she did not have to search so desperately right now. "You are very kind"
"No I am not. I am just distressed to see you in such a poor situation." She replied.
Kira was confused. "Why does it distress you?" she asked curious
"I don't know actually." She admitted. "I mean, I have so much I don't know what to do with it!"
Kira nodded. So it was less about her condition... whatever... it benefited her. "Well thanks I guess" she said quietly
"You are quite welcome." She replied briskly, sweeping her skirts out the door in a flash of silk. She turned into a vixen and ran away.
Kira watched her go. What should she do with the money? She could use it as a security net between providers or she could try to settle down. The problem was what to do to earn money if she did settle down. Maybe she could have a base for her current occupation so she was never homeless in between.
