I am reading the Outcast right now. I have never read Amish/Mennonite fiction before, it just did not sound appealing. But I am LOVING this book!!
Good to know Rebecca- I saw a lot of positive buzz about that one so included it on the list. There are actually several on this list that I'd like to read! The Jane Austen fan in me is dying to read Dear Mr. Knightley! We'll see what everyone picks :)
Agreed - The Outcast is wonderful - one of my top reads in 2013! I'd be happy if that one won but, I picked one that I own but haven't read yet. Already thinking ahead to working on that to-read pile ;)
I think the only reading challenge that I am doing this year is the TBR one just to get all my books out of my house :)!!
It really piqued my interest as I read about it Rebecca, I'll have to put it on my TBR list for sure!

It won't be my goal to complete them but rather to challenge myself to see how many spots I can fill in just from these 3 things. I was looking at my Kindle last night and what I have on it and I can complete the ABC author/title just from my Kindle except for X!
I loved The Outcast also; even though I already read it, I think it's a great choice for a discussion.
I am so excited to read Dear Mr. Knightley! I definitely will read it soon, whether it wins the vote or not!
Cheryl wrote: "I think the only reading challenge that I am doing this year is the TBR one just to get all my books out of my house :)!!"The TBR challenge is the one I am most interested in because I made sure that half of the list were books I have on my shelves! I am sure my husband will be very appreciative too.
And your choice was

Christine- yes! It's very much one I wanna read! Maybe I'll pich the title in the buddy read thread to see if anyone else wants to read it too! I could do like early Feb, would that work for you? :)
Christine & Cheryl - I'd be interested in trying to squeeze that one in as a Buddy Read if possible! :)
This one is at our library and I wanted to read it - yeah! Don't forget that some of us already have buddy reads lined up for Jan and Feb:Rose of Winslow Street - early Jan
Amish Kitchen - late Jan
Wedded to War - early Feb
Dawn's Prelude - late Feb
Loraine, I've got my running list over on the Pitch thread - most people aren't overlapping, so I don't see a problem :) I'm doing the Wedded to War read as well, I think it'll be fine.
@Cheryl: When are you going to post the thread with the poll for next month's Additional Group Read? Just cuurious.
