No, not really :)
Just don't have it be MASSIVE! And it can either be a story, or poetry :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~Cold Death~~~~~~~~~~~I saw a hand raise next to me and braced for pain. A long lasting sting followed shortly after that flash of a hand. My ears were ringing from the contact. My mother stood above me crying as she raised her hand for a second time.
I became aware she was screaming at me. "It's your fault!" She sceeched. "Everything is your fault!"
Of course I knew what she was talking about; she was rightfully punishing me for the loss of her eldest child, my brother.
It was Christmas night and he had wanted to show me how to use his new circular saw. I yelled "I think I've got the hang of it!" As I turned to show him I brought the saw with me instead of turning it off. I misjudged the distance between us. I scraped the saw across his stomach. He fell to the ground. His blood was staining the snow around him. I tried to stop the bleeding but his life was gone before the snow around him melted.
I continued to let her punish me. I deserved it didn't I? After all I killed my brother. It wasn't on purpose but that made little difference to me or her. We both agreed I was a murderer and that was enough for us. She would continue to punish me and I'd continue to deserve and even accept it.
My mother turned to the door. She was expecting someone. "You go!" No she wanted me out it seemed. I watched as she struggled to open another bottle full of her favorite pain number. Or as most people call it, alcohol.
She pulled me up by the hair and began dragging me. Of course I tried to follow without feeling her pull me any harder. I watched my tears drop onto the freezing wood floor.
My mother tripped with me in tow. A twist of the ankle and I soon found myself helplessly diving head first into the brick wall. The contact didn't hurt, instead everything went numb. I wonder if this is what she feels like when she drinks. Maybe I wouldn't mind alcohol after all.
As darkness fell over my vision it became apparent that I wouldn't be receiving any help from my mother. That's alright; I killed her child on that horrible freezing day. I deserve this. That was my last though before a cold death befell me just as it did my brother.
Thank you for joining!!! There haven't been a whole lot of submissions (how but none! :P)
Tessa woke up in a mass of sheets and blankets. She'd had the nightmare again, it was always the same; A man would come after her with a knife because wasn't perfect. Her parents couldn't afford the surgery to make her loved... Nor would they condone it; they grew up on a world where there weren't perfect people, they didn't understand.The floor was cold, but once it sensed Tessa's feet the temperature shot up, it warmed her bare feet quickly. Thick, soft ringlets fell down to the nape of Tessa's neck, they were tangled and knotted from the nightmare that plagued Tessa's dreams.
"Good morning, Tess," the voice in her head said. Tessa had a computer chip in her head, her name was Sonya, Tessa bought her with some allowance money a few years ago. Sonya was placed on Tessa's temporal lobe which meant Tessa literally had a voice in her head, but she wasn't crazy.
The stairs lit up as Tessa made her way down them. The stairs were held up by magnetic lifters just like the cars and hover boards in town. They gave a little to accommodate the change in weight on them, but not enough to cause someone to fall.
The Stryker family consisted of Tessa, her mother, father, and older brother; all of which were out of the house. Tessa's mother worked in a government office and her father worked as a construction worker. Jordan, Tessa's brother, was in a college just outside the city. "Sonya, can you message Aaron for me?"
"Of course, Tessa. What do you want to say?" Sonya responded, sometimes it was weird for Tessa to talk to Sonya because only she could hear her.
"Tell him to come over," a bowl was on the counter, Tessa's mom had left it there for Tessa's breakfast, she grabbed the pill of cereal and milk and placed in the bowl. The pill turned into cereal and milk with a drop of the serum needed to make them into food.
"Message sent," Sonya said. The cereal was being eaten before Tessa made it to the dining room.
As the breakfast portion of the day was finished Sonya said, "Message received from Aaron," and she began to read it:
Hey Tess,
I'm on my way over now, you're not going to believe what I have to tell you! I'm on the maglev right now, I should be at your place in five minutes.
Tessa loved when Aaron came over, he was the only friend she had left from before the Perfect days started.
The bowl her food was in clanged as Tessa put it into the automatic sink. She dashed up the hoverstairs to her room and stood in front of her mirror.
The mirror flickered to life and she saw herself among an array of clothes, she began to move her hand to change her outfit, hair, and makeup.
Tessa stepped away from her mirror and she stepped into her wardrobe; the machine started up and her pajamas were ripped from her body and the new clothes were being put on. Her hair and makeup came next. A simple ponytail and a little blush and eyeliner today. She picked out a pink sweater and black tight jeans. They were her favorite type of pants.
"What do you think Sonya?" Tessa asked her computer chip.
"Very beautiful, Tessa," Sonya responded, but Tessa knew that Sonya had to lie. Tessa wasn't Perfectly Pretty, she was one of the only teens left untouched by cosmetic surgery.
Tessa's toothpaste pills were laying on her nightstand, she grabbed one and began to chew it. The capsule broke and her teeth started to be cleaned. The doorbell went off and Tessa raced to the door, she hadn't seen Aaron in forever!
"Hey Tess! Aaron said loudly as Tessa opened the door, she plowed into his arms and didn't even notice his face yet.
"Aaron, you have no idea how much I missed you!" She stepped away from his sweet smelling cologned body and looked up to make eye contact. She froze, "You promised you wouldn't get the surgery!" She shrieked.
"I know, I know. I'm sorry, it was because my parents got me an appointment for my birthday. I couldn't be rude and say no," he shrugged. Aaron was polite to everyone, it's how he was raised.
"But Aaron! We made a pact! You promised!" Tessa's eyes began to fill with tears.
"But nothing Tess. I'm sorry. I know you're upset but I couldn't say no to my parents," Aaron said as Tessa stepped away from him.
Tessa sighed and walked away into her house, Aaron followed. "My parents won't let me get the surgery, they said that it's immoral and that I should live like they did," she sighed "like how stupid is that!" Tessa kicked the couch as she passed it, she flinched internally at the pain that shot through her foot.
"Maybe I can find a way for you to get the surgery," Aaron said and leaned against the wall, his newly ripped body moving gracefully under his clothes.
"How, no doctor will do it illegally!" Tessa shouted, she threw her hands up in frustration. "Just forget it, okay? I'll survive being the only ugly one in the world."
"I'll try to find a way, okay?" Aaron said, he hated when Tessa got like this. She was easily angered.
Tessa stalked over to her school bag, picked it up, and slung it over her shoulder. "Let's go," Tessa said pointedly; she was done with the surgery conversation.
Aaron and Tessa left her house and began their walk to school.
