(@Kay, it is by Louise Penny)
Here are some English/British mysteries that have been on my to-read list for a while now. Anyone want to "second" one of these?Cat and Mouse by Christianna Brand
The Case of the Missing Marquess by Nancy Springer
The Crossing Places by Elly Griffiths
Bloodline by Felix Francis (Dick Francis' son)
Skeleton Hill or Abracadaver by Peter Lovesey
The Poisoned Chocolates Case by Anthony Berkeley
Death and the Oxford Box by Veronica Stallwood
Knots and Crosses by Ian Rankin
Frequent Hearses or The Long Divorce by Edmund Crispin
Hamlet, Revenge! by Michael Innes
Endless Night by Agatha Christie
Kathleen, I'm glad to find someone else who loves Elly Griffiths. I may have her mixed up with another author, but I think she has another book coming out in March. Can't wait.
I'd like to nominate The T.C.P.D. by Matthew Finneran. Just discovered this series and its wonderful. Takes place in Britannia, which is where English go after they die (have to read the novel) The book is probably PG rated and it brings back to life the most notorious murderer in all of English history.
