Connie wrote: "Is it necessary to read the first book to understand the premise if the second book?"Reading the first book would help, but it isn't absolutely necessary.

I'm currently editing my new book, The Prostitute's Daughter. I've been in the editing process for well over a year, because I'm such a temperamental artist. I bounce helplessly between thinking it's the worst trash ever written and thinking that my book has a valid place in the vast world of literature.
It is a bw/wm IR set in Nashville, TN. The two main characters are Cecilia and Shane. Shane is a firefighter and Cecilia owns a bakery and practices Muay Thai style kickboxing. This book is a sequel to The Officer's Wife, which is available as a free download on the nook or via smashwords in any ebook format.
I'd like to post the entire prologue and chapter 1 for honest feedback from the community. If anyone is interested in helping out a very introverted author, please let me know and I will post my work.
Thanks :-)
