message 2: by Katie (new)

Katie (katie1421) Thank you for putting this together! I'm very excited to get started. 7 at at time won't be an imposing amount of reading but should make for loads of things to discuss each week.

Margaret (margaretlandis) | 10 comments I like the catch up time built into it, and reading a canto a day is definitely manageable.

Leajk | 2 comments So happy I was reminded of this group read before it started, so excited for the read and happy for a very doable schedule!

Ellen (elliearcher) So excited!

Jeena Mary Chacko (mikimbizii) | 1 comments Just got a 1957 edition of Henry Francis Cary's translation. A battered, well-used, beautiful copy from a tiny bookstore. Can't wait to start.

Jet (dadoftheyear) | 1 comments I'm so very pleased I was able to find this group before everything started! I recently got my third (shh; they're pretty and collecting multiple versions is fun!) copy of the Divine Comedy and can't wait to delve into it.

David Merrill | 1 comments I've had this on my to read list for a million years and started it three times and never finished. I'm not sure what will happen this time as I'm committed to a number of books already. But I think it no coincidence I found the group so early on. I'll be reading the Mandelbaum translation. I bought it when it came out in paperback because of the amazing Barry Moser illustrations.
