I made my mom's recipe for cherry chicken for Christmas dinner this year, and it was a huge hit!Chicken (either a whole fryer cut up, or chicken breasts)
1 21-ounce can cherry pie filling
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
There are two ways to fix this.
First method (stove top):
In a large pan (big enough to fit all the chicken), brown chicken in a little bit of oil. Mix the rest of the ingredients together and pour over chicken. Simmer until done.
Second method (oven):
Again, brown chicken. Place in casserole dish. Pour topping over and bake at 375 degrees until chicken is cooked through.
I love lemon chicken (lemon anything for that matter) okay here's another chicken dish: Chicken (I prefer breasts but you can do whatever)
Lemon sauce
And 1/4 chopped parsly
LEMON SAUCE:
2 cups of lemon juice
1 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon for red wine vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon for dried oregano
HOW TO MAKE:
Mix the lemon sauce and refrigerate until ready to use
Okay. Preheat broiler for fifteen minutes before use
Broil the chicken turning it.
Do it for 30 minutes or until skin is a goldish color
Then take it out using a fork
Cut it in six pieces
LEAVE BROILER ON
Put chicken on a baking sheet (that will fit the broiler)
Pour the lemon sauce on.
Return chicken to the broiler for 3 minutes
Turn each piece every minute
