THE DUSTY BOOKS CHALLENGE 2014
duration: January 1st 2014 - December 31st 2014


I don't know about you guys but I have lots of books on my shelves that have been there for ages! I think we should use 2014 to read some of those books!

So this challenge is about reading the books that you own but haven't yet got around to reading. My goal will be 10 books but you can choose how many you want to read, just let me know and I'll sign you up for this challenge!

I'm in. I mostly read ebooks and I haven't gotten to reading the books I own. Do we have to list them?

You don't have to if you don't want to but it might be a good way to keep track of the books you've read and the ones you haven't.

You can also just update how many books you've read instead of listing the names.

I easily have fifteen books I haven't read yet. I probably have twice that, but sign me up. I think I'll start with The Hollow trilogy I bought and never picked up.

Sorry to butt in like this, but could you please make the challenges for the whole club or at least a few more people and not just the moderators? It would make others feel more included. Thanks!

What? Why would you think that this is only for the mods? Of course it's for everyone! I'm sorry, I'm kind of new to this, did I do something wrong? Why would you think that?

Are you talking about the suggestions in the suggestion box? I've only been a mod for three days so I'm sorry if I haven't responded to all of the suggestions yet. Also didn't we do an art challenge the other day?

Anyways, I'm sorry and I'll look into it.

It's fine, I just think there was a misunderstanding. The only thread that is for mods only is the mod chat thread that says no peeking. Every other thread is open for all members to participate in, including all games and challenges. That's why we made this club, to have fun as a group and introduce new books to new people. Everyone is free to sign up for what they want. :)

Also I think that it may seem like that because the mods are the most active on the threads. But we all really want people to be active on all the threads, except the mod only thread, of course :)

Oh, sorry-It just seemed like only certain people were able to these challenges :) Again, sorry.

I just finished Ascension the first book in the Water trilogy by Kara Dalkey.
I'm so glad I joined this book club. I'm reading more and more and loving it.

I'm in the middle of my finals but when they are over I have two weeks off! Then I'll definitely read a handful of books :)

Beyond the Hghlander Mist by Karen Marie Moning. I fell for her writing when I read her Fever series and the first book of her Highlander series has me hooked.
