I never know what to make of Gaiman's 'poetry.' Some of it I love, and others are kind of lost on me. Maybe its because I'm not a huge poetry fan. Still, this 2 minute read was charming, and, because Gaiman said it was fun to read out loud in the introduction, I re-read it out loud to my dogs. They listened, too, but probably because they thought I was a nut job. But it DOES flow off the tongue and it is typical Gaiman 'fairy' telling. Its wild to me that a man can pack such a punch with so few words!

Yes, I agree. I just listened to this one, and I love the way that Neil reads it. It's kind of enchanting just listening to him, but listening to him read about enchantment is even more so.

I'm not a fan of poetry either, but I do like this one. It's quick and deceptively light.

I LOVE that Gaiman reads his own books!!! That's the BEST part of listening to his books...I have the audio version of this on hold at the library- I can't WAIT til it comes in! ;-)
