Best YA Book
I'd like to nominate Defiance by C.J. RedwineThe first book in a dark, dystopian fantasy series--there's plenty of action and a unique sort of techno-medieval worldbuilding to be had. I particularly appreciated the female empowerment undertones. And the hero, Logan, was probably the most genuine feeling hero I've see in YA in recent years. :)

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. In case you can't tell from my nominations this was the best book I read this year...
Since both Fangirl and Eleanor & Park were both already nominated, I will nominate:The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

For this category please list the title and the author. You could also give a reason for nominating the book but you don't have to.
Since The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins won last year it can not be nominated again.
Just remember that each member can only make one nomination per category. If you nominate more than one only the first nomination will be accepted. The book must also already be released. Authors: don't nominate yourselves.
