A small garden with a river running behind it.

Alex sighs and walks along the river. "This school is just too much." She skips rocks along the river. She throws one stone, and it skips nine times. "Yes!" She says to herself, picking up another small stone.

Veronica walks idly over to the small garden taking in the sight. Only a few days left of break before school started up again. She sees a storm is coming in and hopes to enjoy the last few moments of freedom before the rain outside in the garden. She hears Alex and curiously goes towards her to find out why she's yelling.

Alex skillfully tosses another rock. The rock soars through the air, then hits the water. It skips over and over, totaling in fifteen skips. Alex laughs with pride. "Fifteen!" She grins.

Veronica looks wide eyed, she was definitely not normal then. She must go to the academy as well, she did look a little familiar. Maybe she'd seen her in the hallway.
"That's pretty impressive." Roni comments from behind the girl.

Alex jumps, startled. She turns. "Thanks." She grins. "It's not my best record, but it's pretty good I guess." She looks up. "Veronica, right? What are you doing out here, I can feel a storm coming."

"Yeah, you can just call me Roni though. I was trying to enjoy a few minutes of fresh air before I have to stay all cooped up inside because of the rain." she says with a grin, "And it's...Alex right?" She hopes she guessed correctly.

"Alexandria. Yeah, I like to be called Alex." She looks around. "It is going to rain... Very soon... Want to come to my dorm so you don't have to be cooped up alone?" Alex shuffles awkwardly.

Roni looks up at the sky briefly and smiles a little. "Really? Sure." she says after a moment.

Alex laughs. "Okay. We better get going then." She throws her stone, counts ten skips, then turns. (transfer?)

Alex screams with frustration. The water in the river starts rushing faster. "People are so frustrating!" She throws a rock, and it's quickly carried off by the water.

Roni comes following behind at a jog. She uses her telekinesis to push all the other rocks away from Alex before she approaches. "Are you alright?"

"NO!" She screams, spinning around. "I'm not!" Alex has a rope of water in her hand, and lashes out at a tree.

Roni shrieks thinking she was going to lash out at her. "Stop that!" she says," Calm down Alex." she says more gently.

Alex growls and flexes her hand. The water in the river flows just a little slower. "What do you want?" She snarls.

Roni looks at her trying not to be intimidated by the fierce look on her face," I don't want you to do something you'll regret. I just wanted to make sure you were alright."

"What's to regret? I've already had expulsion twice!" She rolls one shoulder. The water slows, but there is still white capped rapids here and there.

Roni looks at the river using the water to gauge Alex's anger. "Things will be different here though!"

The river picks up again. "Yeah, that one was obvious. Back home I didn't get INSULTED FOR MY ACCENT!" Alex snaps harshly.

Roni takes a step back as the river goes faster. Then she frowns and takes a few steps closer to confront Alex. "You can't take things so personally."

((You can make her fall in or something- my charrie i don't mind))

((Yess I love you lol I love making mischief.)) The water speeds up furiously. "PERSONALLY? It was an insult to me, about me!" Alex's water whip freezes into an ice knife. Alex moves forward on Roni, forcing her closer to the edge.

Roni grows angry despite her fear," You're overreacting- put that down." she hears the roar of water behind her.
((I might disappear for a little while))

((Hey wait why did it freeze? Hydrokinesis doesn't allow the user to make things frozen or into steam. And if it's her first year here, why does she know how to use her powers?))

((okay)) "OH I'll put it away." Alex growls and melts the knife. She closes in on Roni, pushing her to the edge. "But you need to learn not to mess with ME!" She grunts the last word, and shoves Roni over the edge.

Roni screams as she lands in the frigid water that is rapidly moving due to Alex's rage. She suddenly is hit with a critical thought- she can't swim. She struggles in the water her muscles trained from dancing are the only thing that keeps her from slipping beneath the water.

((She practiced with them before. Thats why she kept getting expelled. And does her description say hydro? I thought I said something else.)) Alex snaps to. "What the heck just happened...." The water slows back to normal.

((Nah, it says Aquakinesis, but that's the exact same thing))

Roni pulls herself over the edge she's dripping wet and her lungs are stinging. She doesn't say anything but inside she's hurt Alex would lash out at her. She'd only meant to help. She struggles to regain her breath bringing herself up to her feet.

((Oh sorry. is there one where I can melt and freeze? Theres way too many lol)) Alex's eyes widen. "Oh my God, V." She pulls the water from her clothing and body. "I am so sorry."

((No. If you had Hydro-Cryokinesis, you could freeze, but not control it. And if you had Hydro-Thermokinesis, you could heat it, but not control it))

((Aww... dang it. Wish I could make one up lol))

Roni looks at her not sure exactly what to think. Her eyes shine with unshed tears,"Just leave me alone." she mutters and quickly walks back to the dorm rooms.

Alex leans forward, smacking her head lightly on a tree. "What did I do this time?" She sighs, the river moving slowly over the rocks.

Alex wanders out of sight. She looks around, realizing she ran off and lost Matt and Light. She shrugs. "Ah well. I'm sure they'll turn up eventually." Shadow runs off to play in the garden. "Don't go too far." She calls. "I'm going to take advantage of not getting caught." She leans against her favorite tree, and closes her eyes.

((Ooo I'm gonna make Roni hunt her down because her next period is lunch))

((lol go for it. but she cant leave yet because she's supposed to meet Matt cuz he has her other ferret lol))

Roni looks around with a frown- she'd already wasted half her lunch period looking for Alex- she couldn't believe she skipped the first day of school. She thought it was odd she hadn't been in any of their shared classes.

Shadow pounces at Roni, jumping out of his hiding place. He looks up, confused. He sees Roni and runs back to Alex, showing her the way.

Roni shakes her head, "Alex?" she calls. That girl was in for it now. She follows the ferret.

The ferret leads her to a clearing by the river. Alex sleeps quietly, laying against her favorite tree. Shadow runs up and settles around her neck.

Roni frowns deeply, "Alex! What the heck are you doing?!" she says going over and towering over her friend's sleeping form.

Alex smiles, eyes still closed. "I be sleepin', V. Can'tcha tell?" She opens one eye warily. "And what might you be doing?"

Roni crosses her arms still standing above her, "How can you be sleeping? I've been at school Alex- today's our first day remember?"
