Loved this about American Muslim family during/after Hurricane Katrina. Much to be learned about people of many backgrounds and how a good man can suffer for trying to do the right thing. Good men come from all ethnic backgrounds and evil appears unexpectedly. Even after how he was treated this man loves America.

What a mess the whole aftermath of Hurricane Katrina was. We never seem to learn our lessons. Hurricane Sandy wasn't any better. I felt so sorry for Zeitoun and his family.
I read the book too and liked it very much. I was amazed that after all that he decided to remain in America and help to rebuild New Orleans.
