December 26, 2013 was the 100th anniversary of the last day Ambrose Bierce was known to be alive. Douglas Anderson reproduces his last known letters on the Wormwoodania blog site.

I LOVE THIS GUY!!!!!! Mr. Bierce is by far one of my favorites. we read An Occurance At Owl Creek Bridge in high school and I never forgot it. I don't know why I waited so long to read more of his stories but I did and now I think I've read most of his horror stories but not his war stories. I really, really like Ambrose Bierce!! <3 <3 <3
I'm going to host a buddy read for Cobwebs from an Empty Skull in a few weeks if anyone would like to join. this book is in the public domain. I have the Gutenberg app and found it on there.
I have been intrigued by Bierce since I stumbled upon him last year. Only recently did I find out he was a solider in the Civil War before he became a writer. He's always been one of those names I heard mentioned but never looked into him until recently. I will be reading Cobwebs from an Empty Skull with Latasha as part of the buddy read. It will be my first read of his, looking forward to it!
