Tracy (tracylemos) Hi Texan Readers, I was born and raised in Austin and am an avid reader. Currently reading JD Robb book, Holiday In Death. Anyone else out There?

Sandra Nachlinger | 15 comments I just found this group! Although I now live in the Pacific Northwest, I was born and raised in Dallas and lived in Texas most of my life. People tell me I still have the accent, but I think they're the ones who talk funny.

Tracy (tracylemos) I'm interested in supporting a Texan indie author! Is your book based on a religion? Wasn't sure when I clicked your link. Subject sounds interesting for a book...

Greg | 3 comments Tracy, if the Civil War from a Texan's perspective is of any interest to you, I would recommend a very good memoir by William Fletcher, called Rebel Private. Fletcher had several observations and opinions that most would be very surprised to hear coming from a Confederate foot soldier. Best "Texas" book I read last year.
