I read this book a few months ago. It was one of those books that put my life on pause because I just had to know how it ended. Don't want to spoil the end, so I'll just say, "Why, book? Why?" I wish I could forget the last chapter ever happened. But hey, I'm morbid, so I gave it 5 stars.

This pick just reminded me of a forgotten series. I read books 1 & 2 enjoyed them then forgot to follow up. I love rediscovering series. Yay!

This book was a fun read. I remember being so engrossed in it i'd stay up late night reading resulting in me being cranky the next day due to lack of sleep. I'd complain i was tired the next day but let anyone suggest I stop reading & go to bed & I'd mentally slap them. LOL

Wow! So many votes of confidence. I'm glad this book won the Random.org randomizer, then. Will have to go grab a copy and load it onto my Nook. :-)

Really great series. Be warned...there are many and they all have cliffhangers at the end. Very addictive!

Personally ... I don't mind a good cliffhanger (it's the adrenaline junkie in me) so long as each individual book has a complete story that is completed -prior- to the unexpected cliffhanger and it serves a purpose other than to torture the reader into buying the next book. 3:-)

Just finished this book today. It was a bit simplistic, but I have to say I enjoyed it a lot. No complaints at all.

Would you say it's simplistic as in 'Young-YA' (that 13-15 low end target)? Or simplistic as in not a lot of plot? I haven't had a chance to dive into it myself, but I'm always scoping out suitable reads for my young-YA.

I just finished this book and found it very enjoyable. The plot was always moving, which kept me engaged; however, I do understand the simplistic side as well. It was pretty much a straught forward story except for which side one of the characters was on (and it was pretty obvious that it was coming).

I'll definitely continue the series!
I read this book a while back and have since continued with the series though i do find i can easily put these books down and do the housework, which is not a good thing lol usually i can get so engrossed in a book that i tend to skip meals and stay up late into the night to finish them.

I do like the world created here though and enjoy the twists that keep coming with every book, i have only read the first 6 so far and there is a lot more to go, the series seems to be going on forever.

I will say if you don't like the first book there is a good chance you will not like the rest of the books. I think most of the books end w/ a cliff hanger. I was lucky that I did not have to wait for each book to come out because there was a few time really good cliff hangers. I was sad to see this series end.
