I thought it peaked with book three. The first three have a nice Dahl feel then, for me, it spirals out of control with the final fours page counts going through the roof. Luna was pretty interesting. I think she knew absolutely everything that was going on but because she was so dreamy no one took her seriously, hah.
Awesome series ..there are many cool characters in it.. in those, my fav ones are..
Potter, Snape, Serious Black , Dumbuldore, toby & last but not least Granger
One of my favorite series. I could read them over and over and never get tired of them.Favorites characters are the golden trio, Professor McGonagall, Hagrid,Fred+George, and Fleur.
I have read them all and I sure wish these books would have been around when I was a kid. Now my daughter and I read five pages out loud every night before bed. She is reading chapter books on her own now, but this is a way for us to enjoy reading together.
My favorite characters would be Snape (THE best!), Lupin, Serius, Neville, Luna and Hermione!! And of course, Fred n George:))
I loves the series, I have gone through it thrice !!!!! My favorites were serius, Dumbledore, lupin....and ofcourse Hermione
I heard that the series are banned because of witchy themes and some are saying that the spells are real but I think it is just perfection, nothing more. what you guys think?
but the words have meanings in Latin but the meanings are like this: avia (used for bursting birds from the wand) meanings: birds.
Oh yeah I know those :D Like levicorpus too...levitate, and corpse- Body. :P HP I think is responsible for my fascination of Latin...

obviously not....spells don't exist...

they do. in black magic but I don't think there is any way that Harry Potter can be satanic because I read 4 books of it and I am totally fine.
Well there's simply NO way HP spells can be satanic....though I've heard of black magic being true...

Many people dude....who wants themselves to be in media, It's all about attention...

The reason I even read HP was because a girl I work with said they inappropriate for my daughter to read because of the occult/black magic in them. I read them all and so did my daughter! Loved them. HP series has so many kids who didn't like to read, READING!
Harry Potter is what started my book obsession! I am forever gratefully and they will always hold a special place in my heart because of it! :) Sounds sappy but, it's true! :)
I have never read a Harry Potter book. It was just never something I thought about reading. I have been told by so many people that I should read it and I would like it.
I love the harry potter books and pretty much grew up with them as they came out. some of my favourite characters were the weasley twins fred and george just because of the humour that rowling added with them but I also loved snapes character!

I am too old to have grown up with it. I think that is why I never read it. I remember some friends reading the first book when it first came out but my thought was isn't that a book for kids. I just never gave it any thought.

It's a awesome series. This book was the first book i read (i would count it a second if i add the victorian horror stories othervise it was my first)
Roseanne I have had friends that have said that and my advice would be maybe try reading one of the later books first because they are more adult than the earlier ones. Then if you get into it, read the earlier ones afterwards.
I don't know about going out of order that might drive me crazy. I have heard that as with every book it because more adult. Funny thing is I have read The Casual Vacancy and I loved it. I think she is a very talented author.
Amazing series....Reading it right now for the first time(#6 will be in progress)
Although have watched the movies but reading is totally different...Lovin it <3 <3 :P
Fav Characters...Weasley Twins(Fred & George), Black, Dumbledore, Snape & obviously Harry & Hermione... :)
This series has made me so crazy that I want to so badly go and study in hogwarts. I want to spend my life casting spells in the wizard world and I wanna so badly live that fantasy of hp.The best day of my life will be when I meet J.K Rowling!
I want to thank her so much for making this mindblowing series which has intoxicated a million minds in the wizarding world.
P.S Is anyone on pottermore? My username is AsphodelShadow1240.
The best series ever....even after watching the movies, got to read them and loved every bit of it...finished each book in max 1-2 days and it was the series that dragged me to the world of books(earlier I loved movies and TV series more)...

A wonderful series with great stories and characters. I love the descriptions of the spells, and the weird creatures that live within the pages. My favourite one has got to be "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." I think the Triwizard Tournament would be so cool to watch! I love the challenges Harry has to face, and the way he overcomes them is great.
