Netanella | 2108 comments Hi Michael,

I'm interested in buddy reading this with you, although I will have to bow out if you find the French edition. My reading comprehension of French never survived my high school teacher's decision to combine French 3 and French 4 in one term. We spent 4 months of French 4 in the school's auditorium messing around on the piano and pretending to read Les Miserables.

If we go with an English edition, we should sync up on the translator. It looks like Derek Coltman is the standard translator for the English edition...?

Jennifer | 335 comments I read this book this fall. I looked long and hard for a used copy in English. In the first try I accidently ordered a german copy. But found a used library edition on Amazon. Oh and I have thoughts to share!!

Netanella | 2108 comments I have not been able to locate this particular puppy in digital format :(

Jennifer | 335 comments Lets get reading and revisiting!

Jennifer | 335 comments It happened very quickly. I thought it a very good description of what might occur.

Netanella | 2108 comments Hi Michael, I'm sorry I was never able to find an ecopy of this book available anywhere and read this with you and Jennifer. I did note on most of the sites that the books was described as "hard to find".

I'm glad you liked it, and have shelved it so I'll remember to keep an eye out for it as a recommended read.

No flame here - good question! You might want to PM either Jim or Elizabeth, the mods for this group, for the answser to that question.

Moderator note: Didn't want to hijack your group read but did want to respond to the question. The group read was locked because of the animosity and trolling that was going on in the thread. It was meant to be a temporary measure. However, the read moderator was later blocked from the group for actions taking place outside the thread. We felt it best to let the thread stay closed at that point. My thinking was readers could always place comments on the book on the books individual page. If you would really prefer to post them on the discussion thread, let me know and we can look into reopening it for comments. However, if more trolling occurs, it will likely be locked again. We're working on getting the trolls under control.

end hijack.

Yammy | 177 comments well to be fair it isn't even February yet. i think the thread should be opened so the few honest people who are reading that book can talk to each other and whatnot.

imho its only fair for the people who invested their time into reading it despite carol, gina, and whoever else.

his book page has become overran with trolls and fake accounts so i don't think it can safely be discussed on there. at least here you guys have closed the flood gates and aren't letting fake alts join.

this isn't for the authors sake, but rather for the reader's who put their time into that particular book.

the January BOTM thread has been reopened but we (the mods) will be keeping an eye of it. Most of the previous trolls have deleted their accounts.

Jennifer | 335 comments Wow....this is really confusing.
