Bluemoon I mentioned having people nominate "hidden gems" in 2014 - books you loved than nearly no one you know has read. Do you have any (YA books of course)?? I have a few ideas.
I suggest
, which was an Indie when I first read it, but has been picked up by a publisher and just rereleased with a new cover and title--really good YA time travel story. Also I loved
which is a dystopian with a really awesome fantasy vibe. It feels more like a fantasy until the last third of the book, where you get to see the dystopianness of it.And one that is not Indie, but not really well known and I loved was
which is a modern story, but feels like a dark fairy tale and the POV is from a ghost. Really excellent read!
Thanks Jenny! My only criteria is that they are readily available (i.e. you can get them at the library) and they are YA -- do all three of yours fit the bill??
I had to stop going through my read pile because I found way too many books I want others to read!!!
-- I am going to have some issues narrowing this list down!!

OK so how do we want to do this? Do we want to just let a regular group member pick a book for each month for the next few months and see how that goes OR do we want to nominate them and put them in a poll? I am fine either way, but I don't want any good books to be left out! If we have a member pick the book I say Jenny goes first since she nominated hers first (she will have to pick one of the three she nominated though :)
They are all 3 YA...I'm not sure on Timebound, how much release it got...I bought it as an ebook recently because it was on sale on Kindle. Far Far Away I got at my library. I doubt you'd find There Comes A Prophet at the library....its a pretty obscure indie. But I do have a paperback copy the author sent me. So I'd be totally open to an "Around the World" kind of thing if anyone was interested I guess.Another one that was a great YA that's not real popular but I found at my library is
Its kind of a fairy tale retelling using World War 2 as a backdrop. Really deep read. One I just finished recently that was AMAZING was
Historical YA fiction takes place in the 50s in New Orleans. And one of my favorite YA fairy tale retelling ever
which is a loose retelling of the 12 Dancing Princesses. Beautiful book with a super creepy villian!

If I was going to pick I'd probably pick
as the group read, and I suggest the others if anyone wants a good read to read on their own!

Oooo all three of those sound great!

Sounds good to me Jenny! We will wing this "hidden gems" theme for now and see how it goes. So unless someone objects Far Far Away will be our Feb group read! :)
