The Clans discussion

This is the rest of the camp. Cats can explore or hunt here. Although it's kind of like a forest, it's also more like a marsh/swamp in some areas.

Lostmist slowly stalked a mouse. She leaned in. She pounced. She was there and gone in a few moments. She carried it back to camp with out a single paw print. It seemed she was never there.

"is this REALLY necessary?" Jaystar asked cautiously, eyeing the trees. "it's quite late. Let's head back and save this for morning."
"I am not putting this off until tomorrow" Darkshadow replied. He stopped abruptly. "we're here."
"We're where? This looks like any other place in the forest" Jaystar said. He was beginning to look nervous.
"exactly" Darkshadow said, an hint of insanity in his voice. He spun around to face Jaystar. "It's been too long. I know I'm lucky to be deputy, but I want more. I'm sorry, but you're in my way. So you must be eliminated."
"no." Jaystar breathed ask this sank in. "Don't do this"
"Goodbye"
Darkshadow swiped at Jaystar and knocked him over. He jumped behinh him and grabbed Jaystar's neck. "I'm going back now. They'll never find you. And they'll only have me to believe. Good luck." With that he turned and walked away from the hurt form of Jaystar.

"someone.. Help" Jaystar mumbled, barely audible

Sandpelt walked through the forest soon after the incident had unfolded. He saw Jaystar on the ground and rushed to his aid. "What happened to you!? I gotta get you back to the camp, those stupid rouges."

"It was darkshadow" He said so quietly Sandpelt couldn't here him.

Lostmist rushed out "It's true I saw him standing over Jaystar's bloody body. I can't believe this. I-I loved him.." Lostmist said her icy eyes pooling with sorrow and betrayal.

"Wait, I thought it was rouges." Sandpelt got a confused look on his face.

"I didn't know what to do! Darkshadow was standing over Jaystar's body. I thought he was helping. I went to get Rainleaf. Now Darkshadow is gone! And I can't find Rainleaf! We need to help him!!!"

"Kill Darkshadow" Jaystar mumbled unaudibly

Lostmist spoke unusually loud, her blue eyes clouded in despair "We will. I will. I will kill him. And he will be destroyed with the sharp claws of the one who cared for him. I will destroy him. I will hunt him down with all my might. And when I do find him he will NEVER see it coming."

"Instead of that, couldn't we just consult the clan?" Sandpelt wasn't a big fan of fights and normally tried to avoid them.

"No. What he did was wrong! You may be weak but I will be strong for the clan. We can tell the clan but know that I will shred his fur off." she unsheathed her claws as if ready to pounce onto Darkshadow.

"It's just, wasn't the goal to fix the clan not make it worse? What will violence solve. I don't think the true Jaystar would wan't the death of a confused cat." Sandpelt wouldn't let mumbling in ones dreams get in the way of peace within the clan.

"I don't think Jaystar would want a traitor ruling his camp. Now would he?"

"Don't do anything too crazy. You have no proof it was him." A voice said from the bushes. "As you mentioned, Jaystar doesn't seem like himself"

"Whose there! Show yourself!" Lostmist stood over Jaystar's ragged body like a shield.

"Who I am doesn't matter" the voice replied "Your friend will die soon if you don't do something. Take him to the medicine cat and say a badger attacked him. then he will survive and he can decide himself."

"Don't question it." He added as an afterthought. "Your friend's life is a stake. GO!"

Lostmist and Sandpelt heaved Jaystar onto their backs and carried him to camp as fast as possible. "Darkshadow is dead to me now." she thought.

Lostmist reached the silver trap. "Don't get to close," she whispered to Moonpaw.

"okay"she say in a frightened tone
