Brianna's 2014 Reading Challenge - 100 books
#2 And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini.
It took me much longer than I expected to finish that book.
Finished: March 15, 2014
The third book (or should I say play) was Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen. This was a very interesting play to me and a short read.
#4 The Returned by Jason MottThis book was an okay read. The mystery that drives story still remained a mystery throughout the whole book. I have many unanswered questions that I assumed would be answered by the time I finished this book, and they were not. I do like the concepts of death, losses, love, faith, and religion that was shown in the book. However, my overall opinion of this book is not that good. I did not really get into the book until the last 2 chapters. Before that I was just reading to see how it was going to end
#5 Wool by Hugh HoweyThis is an interesting book, however I was left with too many questions and I am very confused. I guess the too many questions part is a good thing considering this is a series. There are just so many parts of this book that I do not understand. So I will be reading the next book in the series to see if it will clarify a few things.
Currently reading: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (audiobook) and The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes (Kindle book)
#9 The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Finished: April 3, 2014
I also loved the movie since it had Leonardo DiCaprio in it.
Still reading The Shining Girls (Kindle) and I have started to finish up Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (audiobook)

Brianna, after you finish Pride and Prejudice, you might want to read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It's an amusing retelling of the story with zombies thrown in.

It is on my to-read shelf, but I was never sure of the approach it took to Pride & Prejudice. I will most likely try to start that book right after or at least not too far apart. Thanks for the suggestion
I think I may put
on hold for a little bit, for some reason it has been pretty hard for me to read and finish that book.
I am currently reading 3 books. I haven't quite figured out how I ended up starting 3 different books, but it just happened. Those three books are Water by Terra Harmony (eBook), Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind (paperback), and A Scandal in Bohemia by Arthur Conan Doyle (audiobook). Actually now that I think about it work is how I ended up reading three books at a time because I can only have a paperback or hardcover book when I'm at work between taking calls
#12 A Scandal in Bohemia by Arthur Conan Doyle
This was a great short read. I like how the woman caught on to Sherlock Holmes' plan. Smart woman.
Finished: April 12, 2014
#19 Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
Finished: June 4, 2014
The ending made me cry. It's been so long since a book has made me cry at the end.

I remember being really into the tv show version of this manga. Was the art in the manga any good?
