Laura Hey just had a question for those who have read these books. Do you have to read this series in order?

Dhfan4life I would think would be in your best interest to read in order. Not to say you truly have to. But certain events kind of would make more sense. I.e. why is one character in such a rage? Why did the Gods make this or that move. I'll admit some of the harpy stories wouldn't seem like they need to be read in order as you progress onward. But as the books flip between character perspectives and different aspects of another character's story is revealed. Then you kind of don't want to miss out on anything.

Also, the author has more or less set up each book to tell you whose story is coming next anyway. So even if you do read out of order. You might still feel like you are missing out on something say if you came into book 5 and she is moving on to another character's story but have no clue what happened with the other ones.

Tori June Gustke You would get pretty confused on the relationships and the war events if you read it out of order. Even the side/ short stories gives you a feel of cronus, lysander, and the other characters. Darkest fire explains how the demons got out of hell and how Pandora's box came about.
