Ah! Someone else who has just posted their 5th read of the year. I hope you savoured and enjoyed yours as much as I did mine :)Have you decided your reading order for February yet? I think we are both reading Rebecca ,and also both reading The Grass is Singing, and I can't decide which to read next...

Yes, I did, thanks!
I'll be reading "The Grass is Singing" next. I'm not going to re-read Rebecca, much as I love the book (!) but I will be joining in the discussion about it.
I will set up a thread for The Grass is Singing in in the readalongs thread.
Snowdrops, grass, flowers... I had begun to wonder if there was a theme here before your previous entry, Shirley! :DYou finished Middlemarch with plenty of time to spare, then? :)
Shirley wrote: "8. The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh (kindle)"I finished this a week or so after you - what did you think?

Hi Beth, sorry, I've only just seen your comment. I enjoyed it, I gave it 3 stars. Did you like it?

Jean wrote: "Storming through your daily reads here, Shirley :)"Ah, yes, but I had the two of them on the go for a while on the kindle!
Shirley wrote: "18. A Commonplace Killing by Siân Busby (kindle) Book Club."
That one looks quite interesting.

Yes, I thought that too, but it wasn't great, just average I would say, although it does paint a very interesting and bleak picture of post-war London.
Jean wrote: "I've just bought that on Kindle Shirley! Is it good?"yes, some of the stories are really funny!
Yes, just finished, need to gather my thoughts and I will add my comments to the readalong thread. Really enjoyed it.
