Jeri Paull Holy moly, that's a lot of books! You inspire me :) What were your top 5 favorites?

That's amazing!! Yes, favorites?

Robin | 5 comments Hey all. I managed 50 books last year and 41 audiobooks. Hoping to hit at least that much this year. I plan to read A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabaldon though. Her last book took me 2 months so this might slow me down a bit!

That is awesome! Will that be your first read this year, or are you saving it? :)

Wow--that's fantastic! I'm such a slow reader. I wish I could say the same. But congrats!

Knewmyer | 1 comments I read 117 books and audiobooks in 2013. I couldn't have done it without the ACPL! I am SO grateful for the amount of digital content available to me through the library.

My favorites included Heft, by Liz Moore; Where'd You Go Bernadette, by Maria Semple; Joyland by Stephen King; Silver Linings Playbook, by Matthew Quick (so much better than the movie and the movie was good!); Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith; and A Casual Vacancy, by J.K. Rowling.

I hope to read it soon. I have some library books checked out that I need to finish first. No more putting books on hold for me for a while!

Amanda (sassafrasstic) | 22 comments Did anyone read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children? The sequel Hollow City is out this month and I can't wait to read it!

Jeri Paull I did! I have the second one on hold when it lands - did not read the synopsis. What is happening in the second book?

This second novel begins in 1940, immediately after the first book ended. Having escaped Miss Peregrine's island by the skin of their teeth, Jacob and his new friends must journey to London, the peculiar capital of the world. Along the way, they encounter new allies, a menagerie of peculiar animals, and other unexpected surprises. Complete with dozens of newly discovered (and thoroughly mesmerizing) vintage photographs, this new adventure will delight readers of all ages.
