A river runs through the forest.

Lemillia knew she probably shouldn't be by the river past night fall, but it was too beautiful to leave just yet. Each ripple sparkled as it moved up and down. "Hello?" she called out to the darkness, knowing that no one was going to be there, but still, she felt it was too beautiful to keep all to herself.

Haddie walked up to the river, smiling. She thought her brother had finally given up stalking her. She wasn't holding a book, but instead she sat on the water's edge. The water rippled around everything that broke the surface. It was honestly beautiful.

Matt walks around kicking rocks.

Haddie sighed, pulling her light blonde hair behind her head in a ponytail.

Matt closes his eyes as he walks into the river. "Ah! This is so cold!" He walks out hoping nobody saw him.

Haddie smiled when she heard someone yell. She didn't look up, but just thought.

Matt walks some more and comes across a girl."Hello." He said.

Haddie looked up. "Hello, I'm Haddie."

"I'm Matt. Hatt Haterson." He smiles.

She smiled along. "So, why'd you come here?" she asked.

"Here as in the river or the school?"

"River."

"I don't know. I was bored and was walking around. Then I walked into the river."

Haddie nodded. "I was trying to get away from my brother for the millionth time."

"Why? The stalking type?" Matt laughs a bit as he says that.

She smiled. "Mostly protective."

"Alright Gyp, alright!" A cheerful voice laughed from farther up the river. A tall girl in short pink denim shorts, pink flipflops, and a pink one shoulder tshirt over a white tanktop appeared around a bend in the river. Long hair the color of red velvet cake batter obscured her face from view as she bent over an eager border collie.

She was messing with something around the collie's midsection, and as she straightened, a harness that the guide dogs foe the blind wore became visible in her hands, evidently having just been unbuckled from around Gyp.

The dog bounded off into the water immediately, and the pretty girl yelped and laughed as she was splashed with water. Gyp bolted off toward Matt and Haddie, and the girl groaned good-naturedly, carefully picking her way along the river's edge after the excited canine. "Sorry about Gyp." she said apologetically as the dog circle Haddie and Matt. Her eyes were obscured with fashionable pink sunglasses, obscuring them from view, but it was evident as she walked that she never once looked down.

Haddie smiled at the new girl. "No, it's quite alright."

Steph turned toward the source of the voice as she reached them, smiling as she set the blind dog harness down on a log next to her. "I'm Steph." she said, offering her hand.

Haddie shook it, smiling.
