↬ Samantha is working on obtaining her PhD in the field of genetics with a Masters in Microbiology. Despite how young she is, Sam's intellect has allowed her to fly through her college experience and soon enough she will obtain her first PhD. She is not exactly sure what she wants to be with regards to a job, but she knows that she will probably have to go into a field that involves research and experimentation that way she will always have something new to learn or excel after rather than being stuck in a routine.

↬ Hair: Sam's hair is generally straighter in style and has a dirty blonde sort of color to it that manages to give her an almost angelic look.
↬ Eyes: Samantha's eyes are a silverish light blue color with a dark ring around the iris. They are quite beautiful most have said.

Samantha's best friends will forever and always be logic and reason. Her mind operates using these two things. The girl has the capability of seeing the world in a different manner than most considering her brilliant mind. There are times that some have accused Sam of being a psychic because she can 'predict' what may be about to happen. As far as she is aware, Samantha is not a psychic, rather she is just capable of processing great amounts of data at once. By taking in the surroundings and running all of the variables present, Samantha can 'predict' some things that are going to happen. It usually relates towards physical actions seeing as physics is one of the more processable events.
Generally, Samantha has the traces of a smile on her features. Overall, she is a happy person who is capable of seeing the good things in life rather than just dwelling over the darker aspects. Due to her intelligence, Sam is used to knowing most things. One of the things that can spark Sam 'to life' more than anything is a good mystery--something she actually has to figure out. But all the same, a mystery can bother Samantha. If she does not know something, than it must be something quite unknown. Her need to understand everything often fuels her curiosity and pushes her in directions that may not be safe so to speak.
Unlike most within the world, Samantha does not strive to prove others wrong or to gain approval. Beyond a select few, the girl could not care less about what others think or say when it comes to their opinion of her. So long as she knows who she is, what she is capable of, and likes it, then why should it matter if someone dislikes her? Everyone focuses on others' opinions to critically, and Sam probably doesnt focus on it enough. Even though it's best to only care what you think of yourself, sometimes you cant see when something is actually wrong. Samantha works with such dedication and passion solely to better herself and live up to her own standards.
Something Sam is often referred to as is independent. She can stand on her own without difficulty, even abling herself to stand on her own once knocked down. But this does not mean she enjoys being independent, being the only person she has faith and trust in. Being independent is tiresome, Sam can fully attest to this. However, when the world has only proven to be an unstable thing, there is only one person that is left to trust: oneself. Even one's own self can be misleading and a let down, though. Considering how twisted the world can be, Sam reserves even more of her trust. In dark times, people are capable of doing anything and everything to keep alive, including betrayals of extreme means. Besides, she keeps secrets--deadly ones--to herself, so she knows others are capable of the same thing.
Sadly, Samantha is a romantic at heart, wanting what every girl wants--well sort of. Sam does not want a man to be there to do everything for her, to fight her battles. No, Sam wants someone who can stand beside her, go hand in hand into the dark and come out on the other side together. She wants someone else who she believes in and trust as much as she believes in and trusts herself. Mister Perfect? She doesnt want such a thing. Samantha herself is imperfect, but it is the flaws that make her strive and forms who she is in the end. This idea of Mister Perfection is illogical because in her mind imperfection is perfect. Thanks to this, Sam is not one to make snap judgments--usually. She lets herself see more than just a first impression before forming opinions of another, but she keeps herself distant in ways until she knows she can allow someone closer without great fear of being betrayed.
❧ Backstory:
As a child, Samantha was told the folktales of Argentumbra by her grandfather. The man got his kicks from seeing children terrified, so he would rattle on about the ghoul and ghosts that roamed the dimly lit streets during the night. Sam had always told herself that the tales told were just that: made up fairytales designed to scare kids and ultimately keep them in doors and out of trouble when the sunset. However, when she was a teen and had to endure walks home during nightfall from a friend's home or her small waitress job at a diner nearby her house, Sam could swear the shadows...moved. They would move every so slightly, some even seeming to follow her before vanishing. Just as grandpa had told the stories.
The mind of a human is an incredible thing. When something so terrible and crippling happens, the mind has the ability to bury the memories of the experience deep down, in the darkest chambers of the mind so it can never be found again. Samantha has two of those memories. The events were too traumatic for Samantha to handle back then, so they where blacked out, leaving her clueless to two of the most crucial experiences in her life. One of the memories occurred when Samantha was eleven and was at her friend, Heather Rutherford, home. Samantha had went to the bathroom and on the way she heard some noises from the living kitchen. Easing to the entrance, Sam peaked through the cracked doorway. There was a dark figure, hard for Sam to make out. It was standing close to Heather's mother who had been a bit...off from normal recently. Watching carefully, Sam tried to figure out what was going on. There were whispers, but none the kid could really hear. Then, Heather's mother seemed to lose it, moving a quick few feet from the shadow figure while grabbing a kitchen knife. Heather's mother then pulled the blade across her neck, digging it deep into the flesh. A gasp escaped the child's lips, gaining the attention of the shadow figure while the woman's body fell lifelessly to the ground. Sam saw two red ruby type eyes before she turned from the entrance and pressed her back against the wall. The memory doesn't exist to her now, though, nor was she able to explain to the cops what happened.
The other memory is just as bad, but that one is further down than the one of her friend's mother. The rest of her life, however, had been 'normal' enough, and before all of the terrors of Argentumbra managed to settle under Sam's skin in a deeper sense than just some old legend, the girl was off to college to study biology, more specifically to study genetics. Samantha was somewhat of an intellectual prodigy, though at times the simplest things would graze over the tops of her head. Logic and reason, those where her best friends. So when Samantha returned to Argentumbra for a visit a few years later and stumbled upon something her dear logic and reason could not put together, she stayed. Curiosity...the worst thing for a girl who feels the need to know and understand everything. It was who she was. Samantha was used to understanding everything, and what she found in Argentumbra? Well it simply made no sense.
❧ Fatal Flaw:
Samantha is not anything close to a God, despite her great strengths in reference to her intelligence, and it is this fact that she fails to see sometimes that may contribute be her greatest flaw. Sam has become used to the fact that she can calculate her way out of any situation with the simple process of information. The belief that she can arise from any situation has manifested within her mind, making her fearless for lack of better words. What is there to fear when one thinks that nothing can get the best of her? Sam often puts herself in tight situations, and though she has yet to seriously fall, she will sure enough meet her true match one day and not even know it's coming because she has lost the ability to feel fear for herself. Ironically enough, it is those who have no fear who should fear the most.
❧ Strengths:
✓ Samantha is often referred to as a prodigy of sorts. Her intellect excels far beyond normal. She holds a photographic memory and the capability of processing data quickly, mainly in the fields of physics, mathematics, and genetics.
✓ Sam is very strategic, able to conjure up a plan within seconds--though sometimes her plans only service herself. Even though she is able to come up with the most efficient plan to follow, it is not always the most practical.
✓ Samantha has rather good hand eye coordination. She can put her ability to quickly process information in regards to physic in use during battle, abling herself to calculate attacks both coming her way and ones she should send.
❧ Weaknesses:
✗ Samantha experiences very powerful and harshly painful flashbacks of traumatic experiences that tend to bring her into a step of unstablity. These flashbacks can often be crippling and have no set time of when they will arise. They have been known to come forth when something reminds Sam's subconscious of the long since buried memory or when the memory serves as important to a current event.
✗ A prodigy may be absolutely brilliant, but having so much knowledge can lead to an overload of information. There is so much bumping around in that brain of Sam's that she can sometimes get lost in it all. When this happens, the outcome can range in what happens. There are times it's like she is operating on autopilot.
✗ Sam has an undeniable need to know things--everything. This pushes her to learn as much as possible, and when she does not understand something, Samantha will go to any ends, nearly, to fill in the blanks. Basically she has an incredibly high sense of curiosity that is nearly crippling.

❧ Likes:
↬ Knowing, Samantha has the want to know everything. She likes having knowledge.
↬ Dancing, Sam likes music and the art of dancing. She is quite good at both playing music and dancing to it.
↬ Storms, they are so powerful and yet so beautiful.
↬ Cloudy days. Sam is not a fan of extremely bright days because her eyes are rather sensitive to bright lighting. She loves the day, but likes it more so if the sun is partly cloaked by clouds.
❧ Dislikes:
↬ Samantha has this odd dislike of Candy Canes. She used to love the taste of them, but one Christmas when she was fourteen, she went from loving them one day to hating them the very next. It's quite odd, even to her.
↬ Mysteries, granted she loves them simply because it means she will get to solve them, but she hates when she does not know something all the same.
↬ Sand, it gets everywhere and is simply agitating.
↬ Not doing anything at all for too long can be quite the annoyance for Samantha. She has the need to be doing something.
❧ Hobbies:
↬ Samantha, when she is not indulging in her studies or experimentations, likes to draw. She has this artistic side that she thinks she should have used with her smarts to become an architect.
↬ Dancing and playing musical instruments, mainly the piano or violin, tends to be a very loved thing of Sam's.
↬ Samantha likes to cook, trying to match and mix flavors together to get that amazing taste that everyone loves.
↬ Reading, Sam loves to read about fantasy stories that the writer has managed to seem real and plausible.
❧ Transportation:
Samantha recently got a new vehicle: A Honda Civic 2014. Though she loves the fancy type of cars and what not, Sam is perfectly happy with whatever she can get her hands on so long as it's fateful.
❧ Other:
↬ Samantha has two very traumatic experiences in her past that she has unknowingly pushed to the back of her mind. But the memories are going to start to rise slowly as the truths of her home city come forth.
↬ Sam is the first female child of the O'Brian family to live in Argentumbra in over three generations. Her family's last name used to be the O'Briens but changed to the O'Brians over time.
