Jenny (Reading Envy) (readingenvy) I'm still enamored with the country. I made two turkish drinks in the past week. Have you had either of these? (I hope you don't mind a separate topic in this folder for cuisine! So many Turkish authors mention food that I get really curious about it.)

Asma, I tried ayran once from a local Syrian place but it was so salty! Is that how it is supposed to be?

Ayran is a watery yogurt beverage you can find in different countries under different names. There are variations; this recipe adds salt to taste.
