Wow - talk about being on top of things...
I can't wait for Etta! Hannah Moskowitz is an amazing storyteller and wordsmith, and she, herself, is really engaged in that eponymous character, which makes me even more excited to read about her.
Haha, yeah I know I'm totally way in advance.Kim, Etta sounds like a really interesting character! I like Hannah Moskowitz a lot. She has a couple other books coming out in 2014 and 2015 but I'm not sure if any of those have queer themes or not.

No title yet (obviously) but the character Jack from this trilogy is a lesbian.
Also this one...The Five Stages of Andrew Brawley by Shaun David Hutchinson
It's m/m romance and it sounds awesome.
And another one....The Girl at Midnight by Melissa Grey
Sounds like a really cool fantasy. The author added it to the list so I'm positive about the LGBT theme, although I'm not sure which characters are queer or what category they fall into.

Looks like a dual narrative, and one of the MCs is gay.

Found out The Girl at Midnight has two gay male side characters.

Not totally sure, but from the summary it sounds like at least one of the male characters is gay or bi.

The character Gabriel from this series is gay, and many people are rooting for him to hook up with the MC, so this series could possibly turn into m/m romance at some point. That's still just speculation though.

Thanks Kim! That's a new one for me. I added it to the 2015 list, which already has 45 books. I love the cover too, it's one of the few LGBT YA covers with a passionate kiss! Also for 2015....

I just found out about it, Rainbowheart, from Diversity in YA's Diversity Digest for this month, which also had a link to this MTV piece about the book's cover.

What She Saw, a F/F adult-oriented paranormal novel, might be out in December (courtesy of Regal Crest). August will see the last novel in the Lindsay/Jo trilogy, Lindsay, Jo and the Well of Nevermore, also courtesy of Regal Crest.
Thanks, Jesse. I really think we should avoid mentioning adult books on this thread though. I'd like to keep it (and the listopia I created) strictly YA and middle grade.

Murder Is Bad Manners
, by Robin Stevens, has a scheduled release date next April.One reviewer discusses the book's "frequent references to lesbianism . . . between teachers, between older girls, and in the pashes that girls have on one another."
Oh, awesome! That's middle grade too. Looks like it's coming out in the USA next year, but it's actually a 2014 release, under the title Murder Most Unladylike in the UK.
Oops, I didn't notice the alternate title/release.
Still Life Las Vegas
, by James Sie, sounds like it will have at least one QUILTBAG character. Here's the synopsis from the publisher (which listed it among anticipated "books for teens"):An astonishing literary debut about a young man who, in the search for clues into the disappearance of his mother twelve years earlier, discovers himself in the process.
Recent high school graduate and aspiring artist Walter Stahl lives with his ailing father in the dregs of Las Vegas, their lives overshadowed by the disappearance of Walter's mother, who drove off when he was five and never returned. Although Walter has never so much as seen a photograph of his mother, it doesn't stop him from keeping an eye out for her in the groups of tourists he caters to in his dead-end job along the Strip.
Then Walter meets Chrysto and Acacia, a brother and sister working as living statues at the Venetian Hotel, and his world cracks open. Spending less time caring for his father, and more time riding on the backs of Vespas and drawing, Walter finds life has more to offer than he could have imagined. Threading through this coming-of-age story are beautiful and heart-wrenching graphic illustrations, depicting how Walter's mother Emily, a Vietnamese-born accordion player, abandoned her family to chase a vision of Liberace across the country; and how Walter's father went searching for her amongst the gondolas of the Venetian Hotel.
In Still Life Las Vegas, the magical collides with the mundane; memory, sexual awakening and familial ties all lead to a place where everything is illuminated, and nothing is real.
That one sounds interesting, although it looks like adult literary fiction. The Macmillan list says that it also includes "YA-OK titles" and some of the other books mentioned are definitely adult, not YA.

How odd: Rusty Summer has the same character names and sounds very similar but not exactly the same as that author's
Beau, Lee, The Bomb, & Me
from this past October. In the former, the unnamed-in-summaries first-person narrator needs the group to roadtrip to see that person's dad in Alaska, whereas, in the latter, the narrator says they're roadtripping to see Beau's uncle Frankie in San Francisco. The former is also significantly longer. I'm guessing the former is a revision, maybe, but the publisher's Facebook page still advertised the latter with its original title and cover just a few days ago!
That is odd! I thought it was a sequel, but I see now that they both involve road trips and the summaries are very similar.
