See, as cute as it would be, it doesn't follow the book, and it would just become a tragedy anyways...*stifled sobbing*
Hm... No. Their only good moment was when Kilo attempted to flirt."I could have anything down my trousers."
And even that... No. I don't ship it. Tauriel's... Okay. But I don't really want her with Kili OR Legolas. And I don't like the love triangle one bit.

Ugh, love triangles, they just HAD to throw romance in. That is my only pet peeve about the movie (even my younger cousins agree).
Oh, sorry, nah. They made something out of it and with a few moments it seemed like a darn great thing but...eh.
It was funny at first, but now I'm just like, nope. I mean, Kili can just find his own dwarf, and Legolas can just meet me. Dur! ;P

Yeah... I almost forgot about that... My sister asked if Kili died, and I was like, "You should read the boooooks." (view spoiler)

*sobs*
It's to sad. I just...can't even...and they throw this love triangle in to make it sadder...(view spoiler)... *sobs uncontrollably*
I don't actually mind Tauriel too much; I can understand them adding a female character, even if she isn't canon, and hey, she's pretty ninja: but to stick her straight in a love triangle? Can we not have female characters without romance? The Kili+Tauriel match upsets me, because it takes some of the importance of Gimli and Legolas's friendship away. They're supposed to be the first dwarf/elf friendship since their species' clashed; I dunno, to me, that makes it less special.
But all that aside, I might have shipped it if it wasn't so cheesy. Tauriel glowing, healing Kili just like Arwen healed Frodo in The Fellowship, the staring. . .
"Do you think she could ever love me?"
*hits head repeatedly against the wall*
Kiliel's kind of my notp. If you ship it, I'm happy for you, but I don't xD
I didn't really feel like we got to know her particularly well, but from what I saw of her she was pretty cool. :)
Tauriel and I are chill. We're best buds. High-fives and secret handshakes and all that traditional friendship stuff. At first I was like a Minion being told to go to bed (cue "Whaaaaaa?") but then I realized that having a female character around was pretty nice.Tauriel and Kili, however, is a no-no. It cheapens the significance of Legolas and Gimli's relationship and in general I am not in favor of a book that is a major element of my childhood having unnecessary romance added to it. Once or twice, sure. But when that additional romance is present in so many movies nowadays, it's upsetting.
I think that PJ was trying to make it more appealing to a younger audience but it didn't really work. I love the addition of Tauriel. It's really nice to have her around. But the love triangle was painful. Not to mention completely unnecessary.

The big question.
Do you, or do you not ship it?
(Tauriel/Kili)
