Marjory (marmbrust) | 208 comments I just finished The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley. It's a story within a story, and I loved it.

MaryKatherine (opheliaellie131) My list is crazy too, Megan! I just went to the bookstore on Saturday and bought two paperback copies of books (one of my favorite books I read about 3 years ago, Rules of Civility and another book I've been meaning to read for awhile, The Light Between Oceans). I've tried so hard to only buy Kindle books if possible, but I REALLY wanted a physical copy of Rules and I had a gift card! That's my excuse :)

Lol. I think once I finish my studies I'll be using all that extra time to read.
I love physical books but I've been using an reader for our group reads, otherwise I'd be spending a fortune on books lol

Marjory (marmbrust) | 208 comments I've got this great used bookstore down the street. It's almost like a library with no waiting. I just bring my read pile in, and come out with a new pile for about $8. Love it!

bookstores are quite hard to find around where I live. But I do head to my local markets every week where there are always heaps of books to go through. at the moment though I'm living with my in-laws and running out of space to store these books. but hopefully by the end of the year we'll have built our own home which has a library in the plans. It's the best room in the house with the best view over our land. I've even thought about which way the sun comes in and everything, pretty much where I plan on spending most of my days :)

That sounds beautiful, Megan! My parents bought their new home about three years ago and it was built in the early 1800s and added on to over the years. One of the coolest rooms that was part of the original house is what I call the library. It has a whole wall of built-in bookshelves and there's a perfect area for a couch or chairs that look out through the window. I LOVE it. A library is definitely a priority for me in any home I purchase eventually!
