The Lost discussion

Dante walked calmly around the campus, not particularly doing anything. He was bored and wondering what Virgil was doing.

Ruby broke off her group if friends, heading towards her class. She plugged in her music, drowning all other noises around her. She was oblivious if Dante until she accidentally bumped into him.

"Hey! Watch it!" He growled before noticing she was hot. "I mean, uh..."

Ruby gave a big smile. "Its fine!" she noticed shed dropped her music sheets. she bent to pick them up.

Dante picked a few up and handed them to her. "Here you go." He raised his hand, "I'm Dante'

"thanks." she shook his hand. "Ruby." she gave another smile. "You new here? Haven't seen you around."

"Uh, yeah. I am." He gave a smirk. "You?"

"Nah, been here all my life. So, where're you from?"

"Uh, Wisconsin." He lied, retaining the casual smirk. Dante was a pro at lying. "I used to live with my brother, Virgil."

"Oh, nice. Who do you live with now?" Ruby knew she was kinda getting nosy but it was her way of getting to know people. And Dante was someone she'd definitely like to get to know.

"Nobody." He took off his jacket, continuing. "I was actually about to go for a run / walk."

"uh, well. I was going to walk home. Can I walk with you?"

He nodded and smiled, a genuine smile, "I am totally fine with that." He impulsively held his half of the amulet.

Ruby eyed the amulet. "a half?" she looked up to him. "does someone special own the other half?"

"My twin, Virgil, has it. Our mother gave them to us. That night she was killed right in front of us. He ripped open her chest and ate her heart out..." He clenched his fists. "What about you?"

Ruby's eyes went wide, then she quickly regained her posture. "I'm really sorry about your mother. I've never had any deaths in my family. not yet anyway."

"Just be glad you aren't me... Sorry about that, I'm such an idiot..." He mentally slapped himself.

"you shouldn't be. not everyone can have a perfect childhood." she thought about the secrets her family kept to keep a good reputation. every family has their secrets, and so did hers.

"So," He asked, starting the walk, "What was it like growing up here?"

"boring. small town, it takes only a while to get to know everyone." she replied as she walked beside him. "how was it like in Wisconsin?"

"Well..." He had flashbacks of the partying and drinking "It was pretty boring too. School, home, school."

"Oh." She was a bit disappointed. "So why move here?"

"I dunno. Just felt like it." He shrugged. "But, then again..."

"What?" she prompted.

((morning!))

"To be perfectly honest Ruby, my life was a little crazy." He admitted.

"My life's been boring." she said looking down.

"Well, how about you and me go to a little place I used to go to?"

((There a night club here?))

Her eyes lit up with excitement. "Where?"

"Ever been to Lavo?" He asked with a smirk.

"Nope. Never had enough time." she shrugged.

He smirked even more. "Then I will see you there at 10?" He smiled and took off his shirt.

"um, sure." Ruby stared at Dante. god, he's hot!

He winked and started his routine jog around town.

Ruby turned and headed towards home. on her way, she texted her friend. 'Help me find a good outfit for a date/night club.'
