Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

I'm a librarian and in adding this book I've just noticed that there are 31 authors, but only 30 are showing. I've refreshed it and tried reentering it every which way but still the last author doesn't show. Is there a limit, or is the system just being dumb? Can't find any references in the handbook to help :/

30 is the limit for authors/contributors. It came up several years ago and there is no way I'd be able to find the discussion.

I suggest you put a note in the description re: the missing author ;)

The limit was upped in 2010 from 30 to 50 so if only 30 are displaying May need reporting in feedback

Kate, you are not a Librarian. You are author with limited librarian rights over your books.

Again as in the other topic. I have no problems. 30 must be the limit for authors. I added anonymous [31st name] to prove it. Since neither in this topic nor the other one authors are provided I cannot add them.

Thanks for helping. As well as being an author I was granted librarian status about a year ago and can add/edit any book. Emy is a Super-librarian according to her status, and she couldn't add another name, either.

There are 31 authors in the book, 30 of which are showing correctly. The only one missing is Suzie O'Connell and I note that the 31st author now showing on the book is 'Anonymous'.

If the limit is stuck at 30 I'll just update the blurb with the extra name, I was just hoping it was a glitch which could be fixed.

The issue is not the number of authors. When you hit the maximum, the add new author link won't give you a new box and you get an error message.

The issue is that Suzie O'Connell is too similar to an author who was already listed -- S. Patrick O'Connell. Usual workaround applied.
