I’m hoping someone can help me find out what this book is / the author as I lost it about 2 years ago and want to read it again!❤️

The plot is centred around an author, who no one knows the real identity of. His wife has an affair and finds out that her husband has millions of pounds which is kept secret. The author has an office and a boat which he sneaks off to. The wife stages a break in in their home.

From what I remember, the only people who know the author’s real identity is the husband (who is the author) and his assistant. But at the beginning of the book, he’s attending the “author’s” funeral and someone in the crowd says to him “I know who you are”.

I’ve tried googling it and coming up empty handed unfortunately!🤧
