Draco Malfoy
In the books, it's pretty hard not to hate him but in the movies....well, he's not that bad :). One of my favourite actors besides Alan Rickman.

But I would have to agree...
I honestly think his two biggest problems were not having enough backbone and being selfish. If he had been a little stronger and a little less selfish, I think he would have made a great hero. :)

DRACO MALFOY.*shudders*
Well. I'll go out and say I abhorred him and I cheered my cheeks out when Hermione smacked him. Book & movie.
I will be so bold as to ask you this - Outside of the rather-insanely-popular actor what...what meritorious aspect or allure does that blasted git have?
I apologize to any fangirls of his character, book or movie, but I thoroughly abhor him. Sure in The Deathly Hallows he might even out, and be accepted by the characters by which it is shown, but honestly? For me.
No. No. No. No. NO!
i absoloutly love Draco and Tom Felton on twitter
Tom: well goodnight from my London bed
random girl: mind if i slyther in
I adbouslte love this character in Harry Potter and in the end you can tell Draco didn't really want to be bad imo he was just forced into it because of his parents. Also that he was just selfish and use to getting what he wants so that why he was so offend when Harry wouldn't become his friend because he has a high status in wizarding society.

Sorry. I Gots To Say It ;P
But in all seriousness. That was one of his best lines."
Agreed.
Has anyone seen A Very Potter Musical? It's wonderful and if u like Harry potter (and Draco MALFOY) u should definitely watch it
The others are awesome. The first one is probably still my favourite, but Joe Walker as Umbridge is wonderful. And baby Draco. And Lucius.
I love Draco Malfoy and I also think Tom Felton portrayed him sooo well. I also just 'love' that in a very potter musical he is played by a girl... *claps*
I absolutely love Draco Malfoy he is my favorite male character. yes him being hot does help but I think there is so much more to draco's character. If his parents weren't death eaters who's to say he wouldn't actually be a good guy? He lied to bloody bellatrix to save harry for goodness sake. I think the character of Draco strives to make his parents happy hence him being evil and becoming a death eater. J.K. Rowling was smart in this character because she was the one who (basically) said 'there are light and dark in all of us" isn't that exactly Draco? There is goodness in him but also darkness. But I think if his character wasn't so determined to make his parents happy he would have actually wound up as (I think) one of Harry's best friends from the beginning
So am I the only one here who had the sum udder desire to buy a ferret after Draco got turned into one?

And even Albus Severus has one ;)
When I saw Alois Trancy on the show Black Butler I thought he looked like Malfoy. But that would count as a serious insult to Malfoy. Look him up and you might see the resemblance in looks even if their personalities are a bit different

But he would in no possible way be as mentally disturbed as Alois. He's a great character in his own way, better in the book than the movie, as goes the universal law.

In the movies, Tom Felton is a gem but the character only has enough screen time, all of which was negative, to make you hate him. But in the books, with more page time, witty lines and general humour, it's easy to like him because he and the Trio just have a general rivalry. If it wasn't for the seriousness of the war hanging over their heads it would just be a normal school boy rivalry.
It makes you wonder in real war how many people could be friends if said war never broke out or even threatened to in the first place
I always felt bad for Draco and the entire Slytherin house in general. They get a bad rep, they're mistreated by everyone, they are constantly slighted by even the teachers, they don't have good family support, they're encouraged to turn on each other, and they were never taught to be anything but mean. No wonder they all turned to Voldemort; he was the only one who bothered to single them out and offer them a place to belong! Voldemort promised Draco power and glory and a culture to fit into along with being held in high favor with his parents. I just wanted to hug him at the end.

It is difficult to really hate him, but I don't know if I really love him. I think you can understand his motives. I think he has likeable sides like many people in general have. But I'm not sure if I would like him much in real life. He never really had a chance you can say. And it is true. I thought it was well that he changed during the series. However I wished he would have used his slight chance to be better than his father before everything was getting worse and worse :(.
He was very misunderstood and Is an amazing character. My favorite, most people only like him because he is Hot (which he is) but I think he didn't have a choice. His parents taught him that he is superior to everyone.

I have to agree with what most of you said.I highly doubt Draco would have been such a git towards basically everyone if he didn't try to make his parents proud. Everything he ever did was to make them (and society) proud. He's a Malfoy after all. He would have been the best at his school if it wasn't for Hermione. A muggle-born witch. Someone who was supposed to be inferior suddenly beat him in everything. That must have been a shocker. His father highly disappointed and behaving that way towards him.
So there's that. Then of course his father as a Death Eater. He had failed in OoP in the ministry, so of course Draco had to make up for it. It was the thing that would have been the worst for Lucius (who came back completely mental after Azkaban if you ask me and couldn't see clear even in the slightest). Draco was *given* to Voldemort. He had to (try and) kill Dumbledore or Voldemort would have tortured and killed his parents and would have made him watch.
I really do believe Draco is highly underestimated and a tortured soul.
In the books he's a bit better, I mean he helps Harry in the end right? I really hate him in the movies though. A very Potter Musical Draco is da bomb!
Um, I totally agree with Jk Rowling when she said that the amount of fans that Malfoy had worried her, for he's such a terrible person/character. Honestly, he was the most annoying character in the whole series (yeah, right up there with Rita Skeeter) and he bugged the heck out of me. :/
I agree. Draco annoyed me. He was so devious.

Don't dis Draco Malfoy :)
