~The idea for this name came from Tyler's brother, Atticus. He was seven years old at the time and his teacher's first name was Asa. He thought the name was 'cool' and told his pregnant mother about this idea. Nora loved the name as well.

{Sobriquet} Tyler has many nicknames and she is happy with most of them, she prefers to be called her nicknames rather than her real name, actually. When she was little, as in, just barely born, Dax began calling her Little Ty-Ty. The nickname was not given up until she turned nine and refused to answer to the 'babyish' name. That was when her family began calling her simply Ty-Ty or just Ty. When she was about seven through nine years old, she constantly told everyone that her real name was in fact Bryony, people still call her that to this day, and she is quite embarrassed by it. Some people call her Minnie, as in Minnie Mouse because of how small she is. Some people say it like an insult, but Tyler finds it funny. She's happy to be called Minnie even if it is meant to be an insult. Her friends like to call her Pogo because it goes with the rest of their nicknames, such as Jogo, Logo, Gogo, and so on. They call her Pogo because she jumps around so much, as if she is constantly on a Pogo-stick. People at her old school and her old friends (she moved when she was eleven years old) call her Asa and sometimes Ila. She loved her nicknames so much that she insisted that people call her by those names. Now kids that used to go to her Elementary school call her Bryony, Ty-Ty, Ty, Ila, and Asa. Nicknames were always her very favorite.

-The night of Tyler's birth was a very cold, bitter Winter night. Nora had awoken to get some water at eleven o'clock when Tyler was ready to come. Dax had to wake up Tyler's older brother and drive everyone to the hospital. Dax went into the hospital room while Atticus, at age seven, waited outside of the room for what felt like hours, doing nothing but reading. Exactly fifty-five minutes later, Tyler was born. But she was far to small. Surgery was to be done and she had to stay there with Nora for a week before she could go home. Dax and Atticus stayed there as well, none of them getting any good sleep at all. Tyler was near death, but luckily survived. It was a miracle, but she lived. That is why she is so small today. And that is why she has to get so many surgeries all of the time, to make sure that she doesn't suddenly die out of the blew.

Face Claim Emma Watson
Tyler is quite a beautiful young lady, but if you asked her for her opinion, she would say otherwise. Her hair is long and thick, going down to the bottom of her shoulder blades in soft waves. Her hair is caramel brown with streaks of blonde and chocolate brown in it. She often puts it in a crown of braids on top of her head, but that is when she is willing to take the time and effort to do so. When she is feeling rather lazy, she will often keep it down, but that rarely happens because she thinks her hair looks ugly down, so she will sometimes put it in a simple side braid or a floppy bun. When she's home alone, her hair is always down and free, though it can be quite a mess sometimes. She finds her hair to be a sensitive subject. Moving down to Tyler's eyes she only gets prettier. Her eyes are a gorgeous shade of forest green. Outlining her pupil is a yellowish line, it reminds her of one of her favorite books called 'The Host'. Coming from the yellowish circle that outlines her pupil are lines of moss green. They go from yellow, to mossy green, to navy blue and they end in a silvery color. Her eyes are large and outlined with long, dark lashes that are not at all thick, but Tyler does not care. She never puts on mascara or any sort of eye makeup, she thinks that there isn't a need for girls to ever wear makeup. "Everyone is beautiful just the way they are, covering up their face with this powdery stuff is silly." She will often say. Her eyebrows are rather thick, she never bothers plucking them unless it is to keep a uni-brow from growing in between them. Her eyebrows are dark brown and arch over eyes almost perfectly. Her nose is quite small with a balled up tip, she uses this little part of her for balancing a spoon on her nose. Small freckles splash across her nose and onto her cheeks. She has high cheekbones which are also covered with little freckles, coming from her freckle covered nose. Her ears are small and she constantly tries to keep them hidden with anything she can find. Hats, scarves, and her hair. Each ear is pierced once because of her mother, but she never puts earrings in them unless she is forced to. Her mouth is quite thin and chapped, so she tries to keep it hidden just like her ears, though hardly anyone would notice, she's self conscious. She never wears any lip gloss on her lips. If she has to wear something, it is chap stick and chap stick only, she doesn't even wear tinted chap stick! Her teeth are straight and white, but she hardly ever smiles enough for anyone to see them. When she smiles, it is always a closed mouth smile which is usually quite crooked, most people find this cute. The rest of her appearance is quite small due to being born a bit too early. Her body is very, very thin, so thin that people often mistaken her for being sick or starving herself. Her hands and feet are very small as well. She is not very tall, only about 5'2" in height, so even sixth graders will pass her up. Her fingers are very long despite her short height and small size, they work well with her desire of playing piano and violin. Her toes are quite long as well, much like her fingers, this is why she always keeps them hidden with her converse and flats. Showing her toes to people makes her cringe and turn bright red in the face. Tyler as a scar on the bottom of her right wrist (which I will explain in the history). She also has a birth mark on her right arm up by the shoulder, it is quite small and looks almost like a book. She has a tattoo on her left shoulder that says, Always with butterflies surrounding it. The word and the butterflies have to do with her painful history. Tyler wears thick, nerd looking glasses. Without them, she's practically blind. "I wrecked my eyes reading." Tyler will often say embarrassingly anytime someone mentions her eyesight. Her glasses are black in the front. The ear holders are dark blue, light blue, and green stripes. For nerd glasses, they are quite pretty.

Tyler's style is somewhat vintage looking, it has a nice vintage-y feel to it. Here are the things that Tyler would never even dream of wearing. High heels (the last time she wore these she sprained an ankle), boots (small spaces scare her, even when it is just the lower parts of her legs. They hold too much of her and it scares her), sandals or flip flops (she hates showing her toes off to people, she thinks they're ugly), belly shirts and short skirts or shorts (she hates showing to much of herself), and bikinis. Because of this, most people would call her a 'good girl'. She's very modest and never wears things that the 'rebels' or 'cool kids' wear. Her style is very comfortable and simple. Sweaters is the thing that she will wear most of the time, especially in the constant chilly weather that this town has. A scarf is always around her neck, almost as constantly as she has a sweater on. Scarves help her feel like she can disappear anytime she feels like it. She can easily hide most of her face without looking like an idiot. She will often wear cute, vintage dresses or floral skirts, but jeans are her favorite out of them all. They're comfortable and hide her legs easily, they make her feel safer for some odd reason. Tyler always has her satchel with her that contains most of her prized possessions, and that mostly includes books. Books, a notebook, her laptop, phone, and her large collections of pens, pencils, key chains and charms, bottle caps, and pins. Her satchel is dark brown and decorated with her key chains, charms, and pins so you can hardly see the material. She always has a book. It's under her arm on the rare occasions that she doesn't have her nose stuffed into it. The books she caries around are often quite thick, at least a five hundred page novel. Rarely they will be around two hundred and three hundred. Big books are her favorites, and there is a small part of her that likes carrying them around because it makes her look smarter, but that's only a small part. It is mostly because she simply likes big books.

It's a waste of time. There's a reason for everything. Every mistake, every moment of weakness, every terrible thing that has happened to you. Grow from it. Tyler is dreadfully shy, shyer than most girls her age ever are. Talking to people gives her instant anxiety attacks, and she doesn't know exactly why. It's not like how most people would put it, she isn't shy because she hates talking to people (though she does hate talking to people, it has nothing to do with being shy), she just never knows what to say. She doesn't know what people will say about the things that are going on in her mind. That and she doesn't want to get carried away with talking about things nobody cares about or will understand. If you ever get a chance to have a conversation with Tyler, she most likely won't say a word during it. But, though she is shy, she's a very good listener and you will probably enjoy the conversation otherwise. If you ever ask her questions, she will probably keep her answers very short and simple. Such as, "yes", "no", "perhaps", or "I'm not quite sure." Unless you ask her a question about her passions, then she most likely will not stop talking about books, writing, or art. It just depends on what type of person you are, whether you ask her the unimportant things such as, "who's your boyfriend?" or "who's your crush?", or if you ask her the more important things such as, "what is your greatest passion?" or "what is your favorite book?". Though she is shy, she never stutters, she does hesitate a lot though.

Tyler is majorly introverted and antisocial, she's probably the most introverted and antisocial person that you will ever meet. She prefers to be alone, especially since people take away all of her precious energy so easily, she thinks that it's better that she stays alone so that this never happens. She doesn't care for talking to people or socializing anyway. One-on-one conversations? No. Groups of people? No. Parties? Most certainly not! Tyler is very different from all of the kids at her school who go to parties on Friday nights, Tyler will stay home and read a good book. Or she will go to the library since it is usually empty on a Friday night. Books are the friends that she hangs out with and has parties with on Fridays, books and cats as well. The point is, she is antisocial and introverted. She will stay in her little apartment all day long because talking to people is her very worst fear. Being around people even more than that. She always feels so out of place around people.

As said before, books are Tyler's greatest friends and most constant of companions. They are her wisest of counselors and most patient of teachers. She loves books more than anything else in the world, practically all she ever does is read. Some say that she has read every book ever written, but Tyler knows that this is not true. Most people will ask her if it is and she will say, "There is no such thing as 'all of the books in the world'. Books are what goes on inside a writer's head. And things that go on in people's head is called imagination. And imagination never ends." If you ever see her walking around somewhere, she most likely will have her nose stuck in a book. On the rare occasions that she isn't reading a book while walking around, it will be somewhere within ten inches of her. She never lets her book get too far, she doesn't want it to get lost. Without books, she would most likely be dead. "Books have been there for me when no one else has, and that has happened a lot." She will say.

Tyler has intelligence beyond her age. Due to all of the books that she reads constantly, her intelligence is very great. She got to skip a year in school because of how smart she is. Though Tyler will never admit that she is one of the wisest girls in town, she truly does have the mind of a scientist. Her mother often scolds her for 'wasting' her talents on writing books and painting, that is when Tyler will quote the same quote over and over and over again, "The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination." She uses her intelligence and changes it into imagination, using everything that she has read and puts it in a book or painting. Because of how intelligent she is, people often mistaken her for being a young looking thirty year old. She is so mature.

Tyler is a writer, writing is her greatest passion next to reading. She loves to create her own worlds within her trusty, worn out notebook (even the pages are yellowing a bit) that her grandmother had given her. She writes almost as much as she reads, and that is saying something because she hardly ever puts down her book. Her imagination has grown so large that the novel she is writing right now is planned out completely from beginning to end. It soon was so big that she had to change it into a series of books, it already had about two thousand pages! The wolds that she creates are so brilliant that it is almost as good as her favorite series, Harry Potter! You will never find Tyler without a notebook at least in her bag if not under her arm or in her hands with a pencil placed on the pages.

Tyler is a painter, painting is another one of her greatest passions. Once upon a time her imagination grew so large that she had no where to put it all, not even in writing. So, she sketched, drew and painted her worlds on a piece of paper. She sketched, drew and painted all of her characters. She sketched, drew and painted the events, places and things that were inside of her books on a piece of plain white paper. And she is quite talented as well. Her drawings can look so realistic or so fake, and if they do look fake, she did it on purpose and simply for fun. Painting is basically her life other than reading and writing. But she keeps her artistic talents inside of her apartment in a little room next to her bedroom. As soon as she enters, she becomes a different person, drawing the things she loves. When she comes back out, she turns into a shy girl once again.

Tyler is extremely shy, in case you weren't aware. This is why no one really gets to see the kindness that lies within her, she is far too shy to show it and let it out. All that you have to do is give her a chance and become her friend, it may take nearly months, but it will all be worth the wait once you become her best friend. Tyler may just be the kindest friend that you have ever had. She will protect you from harm, whether it is physically or through words of hurt, she will be there. She will help you through your hard times and be there whether you need a laugh or a shoulder to cry on. She isn't just a classic shy girl through and through, she is a real person and she does have a soul. You just have to find it.

{History} Tyler was born in North Yorkshire, England in a hospital like almost every other kid in the world. The night that she was born was bitterly cold and snowing, and that was when the miracles began to happen. Tyler had to stay at the hospital for a week before she could go home, she was so small and born too early, surgeries had to be done. Everyone, even the best doctor at the hospital were sure that she was going to die in less than six days, but no one told Nora, Tyler's mother. They didn't want to upset her anymore than the idea upset all of the other doctors and nurses there. But after that week, when all of the surgeries were done and Tyler was ready to go home, she lived and everyone was very surprised and happy. Tyler was sent home to a tiny house in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of a sea of yellow fields. There was a forest around the edge of the yellow fields and there was a stream where Tyler, her older brother, and her dad would go swimming every summer in the near future. She was raised and home schooled at this tiny home, it was paradise, it was her haven, it was where she learned to become herself. Since she was raised practically by herself, she had no friends but her own family, she naturally became very shy without knowing. She learned to read while she had nothing else to do. Her reading became almost a habit and she hardly did anything else. Soon it nearly became boring, she knew that she had to find another hobby. So, she began writing stories. She started with fanfictions that soon grew to full length novels that were completely her own. But even then she needed to do more, so she began sketching, drawing, and painting her worlds, her characters, the events and the places. By the time she was ten years old, she was the most imaginative, creative, and intelligent little girl that Nora and Dax every knew. They moved to Liverpool, England and sent Tyler to a privet school for girls where she could get proper education, the thought that it would be best for her. But boy, were they wrong. Tyler was raised on the country side, no one could except her at this school with all of the rich girls there. She was shy and was alone most of the time, reading during recess, writing during lunch, drawing during her free time in class rather than ever socializing. She didn't have any friends at this new school, not even one. All of the other girls bullied her, called her names, and pushed her into walls. Eventually, Tyler could hardly stand it anymore. She has been cutting herself, telling herself and believing the things that the other girls told her. One day, during Christmas break, Tyler and her family went to Scotland to visit their family and Tyler told the only human person that she trusted about everything, her aunt. Emma, her aunt, told her that everything those girls were saying isn't true, that they were just jealous. "How could you ever be ugly, Ty? With beautiful hair and eyes like that, you are the prettiest girl in the world! How could you be daft? You have the mind of Albert Einstein! You are creative and have the biggest imagination in the world. If you're weak, how come you are still standing right here and telling me everything? You are the strongest girl I have ever met, Ty. Tyler lives in a small, vintage type of house by herself except for a couple cats. There is a total of three bedrooms, but she only uses one as an actual bedroom. The other two are used for her greatest passions, books and paintings. There is a living room, a small kitchen, and a small dining room. There is only one bathroom. Everything is very sweet and cozy, it's a bit cluttered around the edges but Tyler likes it this way. Not a single human being has set foot in her house except for herself and her family, other than that, no one has ever come inside.

Ellie was raised by her mother who moved to Crooked Creek after her father mysteriously vanished when Ellie was the age of six. Hatred towards her father grew as her mother struggled to support them. She was unable to find a steady job and when she did get hired somewhere, the men would abuse, mentally degrading her and making her feel worthless. This only fueled her depression, making life at home for Ellie tough. Ellie was very smart for her age, and even though she didn't understand everything that was happening, she did know that it was bad and caused by her father.
For four years Ellie's bitterness and hate towards him grew until one day he showed up on their doorstep out of the blue. Even though Ellie was only ten, she stayed strong and rejected him, yelling at him for leaving her and her mother. He apologized continuously and begged for her forgiveness, trying to make her understand that there was a reason for his absence and that one day, she would understand. Being a stubborn child though, Ellie turned her back on him, expecting her mother to do the same, but she welcomed her husband with open arms and tears, appalling Ellie. Furious, Ellie locked herself away and refused to speak to either of them. Just when it looked like her father was going to stay for good, he left without any explanation or goodbye. Nine months after her father abandoned them a second time, Ellie's little sister, Lily was born. Ellie embraced the baby with a warm heart, promising her that she would always be there to protect her.
It's been seven years and there has been no word from Ellie's father. Lily took after their mother and is filled with hope that their father will come back someday while Ellie still hates him and hopes that he never returns. In her eyes he doesn't deserve a family if all he is going to do is leave them. She struggles to get her mother to see that he didn't care from the beginning and that he is only using her, but her mother insists that he has his reasons.
Ellie kept her promise to Lily true and protects her fiercely. The girls have a deep relationship and rely on one another to get through the rough days. They love spending time together as a family, strengthening their bonds and enjoying the company of those who love them. As the years went on, talk of their father reduced and the three girls learned to live happily with what they were gifted with.
