I agree, I mean I understand the ending but why do that to Tobias didn't he suffer enough!!! Is just to sad!!!
Did you tear up? I know I did. I almost threw the book out the window. Poor Tobias, I can't even. He didn't deserve that!
Yes!!!! I was so angry!! And the final chapters were devastating i could feel his pain OMG!! Better if it happens to both I could live with that or maybe him I don't know. And is not that I felt for Tris is just i hated that Tobias was suffering.
I totally agree! I was so mad I almost chucked the book across the room!!! and I totally felt for Tobias
Read it last year and thought it was going to be good. First book was good but the others weren't that great. I was kind of disappointed
@Marybeth I really liked the first one, and the second too actually, but not the third one :\ very disappointing
I am on page 288 (Chapter 23) of "Divergent" and loving it. Definitely a five star read so far. And I want to kill Peter...with my bare hands and make him suffer while I do it. And make Molly watch. So you know the author is doing a great job lol.
Sorry my phone crash! I loved all 3 books and enjoyed them very much. The only thing I didn't like was the Tris thing I would much ratter be happy if it happend to both.
THE TRIS THING @James I would just finish reading the first one and never read the others! Hahah just kidding, but it's still crazy.
@Rebecca Lol! Yeah I can tell there are some...errr... mixed reactions about the next two books. But most series have a dropoff, or at least don't meet most of the expectations set up by the first book. "The Hunger Games" is one of the rare exceptions. Anyway, I am definitely digging "Divergent" and will try to get a full review posted once I finish.
@Rebecca I am finished and review up and posted. Oh without a doubt, Tris. Love, love, her! Especially how she was in the final 75 pages. That last section was among the best genre fiction I have read in years! Review is spoiler free so anyone who has not read the book feel free to peak.

@James Yay! I knew you'd love it! I'm seriously warning you about the next two! I also loved your review:)
@Rebecca Thanks :-)Yeah, I took my time with he last section because I was enjoying it so much and didn't want it to end.
After hearing the reactions I've lowered my expectations for the next two. I am actually worried it will affect my high from "Divergent" lol, so I might read a couple other things before starting "Insurgent" so I can keep my post "Divergent" buzz going.
This is a book with a similar premise and plot set up to "Divergent", people live in clans according their personality traits. It is by Phillp K. Dick, who wrote the books and/or stories that "Blade Runner", "Total Recall", and "Minority Report" were based on. He can be a challenge to read at times because he was insanely brilliant...and brilliantly insane! Seriously, he was crazy lol.

I love all the series, but I love the first book more than the others. When I was in page 476, I couldn't comprehend it, then when I read all the other chapters, I was a wreck, literally, I cry for hours. I felt Tobias pain, so much, (view spoiler)
I loved the first and third book but the second was jus meh. I actually really liked how the trilogy ended. (view spoiler)
Allegiant was really heartbreaking, sad, and very very emotional..... but it was NOT disappointing or a bad book. SPOILER ALERT FOR ALLEGIANT!!!! Tris's death was very meaningful, it showed that Tris had developed as a character. She finally understood the true meaning of self-sacrifice. In Divergent and Insurgent, when she uselessly tried to give up her life, she did not know what it meant to sacrifice yourself for someone or something greater than yourself. But in Allegiant, she realizes that the need to sacrifice yourself lies in it's necessity, which she explained to David before he shot her. I cried A LOT while reading the ending to Allegiant, especially when Tobias was narrating after Tris's death. But I think that Veronica Roth made the right choice when she chose her characters' fates.
