Since it seems to be a popular topic...Dragonfly in Amber

Right now I'm reading Diary of a Predator: A Memoir. It's a bit close to home, about a Denver criminal, but it's very interesting so far.

frando (broadishreads) I'm reading Zombie, Spaceship, Wasteland by Patton Oswalt right now. I'm almost done and haven't quite decided what to read next.

How is Patton Oswalt as a "writer"? I know a lot of comidians books are just their routines written down so I'm weary of that kind of thing.

frando (broadishreads) Some of his essays are well thought out and touching even, but some of the sections of the book are essentially bits that get a little much for me. Overall worth reading if you're in a Patton Oswalt mood, but I'll probably end up giving it like 3 stars.

Side note, my life would be so much better if Goodreads introduces half star ratings. I am very passionate on this subject.

frando (broadishreads) Yeah, almost done with the book, and I really do like his chapters that are essays about his life, what it's like to do comedy, etc. He's really smart, heartfelt, and has a great voice. Not everything in the book works for me, but it's worth a read. If Goodreads had half star ratings, I would give it 3.5 stars.

Yes. Half stars. Here and on Netflix. That would make things better for a nuanced, OCD gal like myself.

Grace (augustinislibrary) | 2 comments I'm now reading Paper Towns (trying to have a John Green marathon before the school year ends). Obviously I enjoy it, but maybe not as much as Looking for Alaska, or the Fault in Our Stars.

Cathy Wood | 1 comments I'm reading The Well of Ascension, the second book in Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy. My fiance and I also keep a book in the car, and I read it out loud while he drives; our current book is The Reptile Room (neither of us actually read all of A Series of Unfortunate Events before). I've started listening to an audiobook as I drive as well; my current audiobook is The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks
