I've created this thread as a place to post our favourite inspirational quotes whether it be from a book, an inspirational figure or a movie of some sort.

Just a place to share some inspiration & motivation! =D

“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”- Dumbledore as written by J.K Rowling

“Letting it get to you. You know what that’s called? Being alive. Best thing there is. Being alive right now is all that counts.”
— The Doctor, Season 6, Episode 4

“The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.”
— The Doctor, Season 5, Episode 10

“I am and always will be the optimist. The hoper of far-flung hopes and the dreamer of improbable dreams.”
— The Doctor, Season 6, Episode 6

“We’re all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?”
— The Doctor, Season 5, Episode 13

“You don’t just give up. You don’t just let things happen. You make a stand! You say no! You have the guts to do what’s right, even when everyone else just runs away.”
— Rose Tyler, Season 1, Episode 13

"Courage isn’t just a matter of not being frightened, you know. It’s being afraid and doing what you have to do anyway."
- Jon Pertwee a.k.a Third Doctor, Doctor Who

In the end we only regret the chances we didn't take, the relationships we were too afraid to have and the decisions we waited too long to make.

Don't worry about those who talk behind your back, they're behind you for a reason.

Enjoy the little things in life, because one day you'll look back and realise they were the big things.

Don't dwell on the past. Your history can't be erased, but you future has yet to be written. Make the most of what's going to happen instead of worrying about what you can't change. Don't waste your time being sad because you're wasting away moments in which you could be happy.

It always seems impossible until it's done.

Sometimes bad things that happen in our lives put us directly on the path to the best things that will ever happen to us.

You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.

Love this quote!

"She dreamed of deep soul connections and passionate kisses and daring escapades. She was certain that he simply had to meet her, just once, and he would feel the same way. It would be like those epic love affairs that exploded into existence and burned white hot for all eternity. The type of love that time and distance and even death couldn’t separate." -Cress

I'm multitasking and reading Cress whilst surfing GR. :)

L | 1252 comments “Life is a mirror: if you frown at it, it frowns back; if you smile, it returns the greeting.” -- today's Quote

L | 1252 comments No fear!

[Othello, Act 3, scene 3] -- intriguing! (Thanks to fab lecturer ;)

{..Act III, Scene 3: Iago plays on Othello's fears - O beware, my lord, of Jealousy! It is the green-eyed monster which doth mock The meat it feeds on. That cuckold lives in bliss Who, certain of his fate, loves not his wronger; But O, what damned minutes tells he o'er Who dotes, yet doubts; suspects, yet strongly loves! (lines 195-200) so true! }

Well, as is apparent with the character Cassio that jealousy is only as a result of a fear of abandonment.

Actually, the Quote I was searching for was this..

"I kissed thee
ere I Killed thee!"

It's that hemisphere / circle / yin & yang thing again.. the 'double optic' or 2 sides of a coin. We both have light and dark. Fire and water to make the Earth complete. The good and the bad within, which not only create a harmonious equilibrium but also create conflict, tension and illuminating (painful, necessary and even expected) changes of perspective.

I'm off on a tangent again, oh dear! all I wanted to do was share a cool quote!

*just had to add this awesome Quote by Van Gogh..

“Someone has a great fire in his soul and nobody ever comes to warm themselves at it, and passers-by see nothing but a little smoke at the top of the chimney,”
