Tensions between the United States and North Korea were at their highest, but never in a million years did anyone think NK would plan an invasion. That's why it was surely a surprise that one day in February, when it all started. To the younger generations, North Korea was something of a joke, their distress being made into memes to laugh at on the internet. To the government, North Korea was nothing to be taken seriously; a ferocious kitten unaware of it's own vulnerability but still blinded by anger.

Paratroopers were dropped from the sky that fateful morning onto the streets all over the country. The US was taken by surprise, and therefore conquered. Cities were isolated, more soldiers were flown in from North Korea, and no assistance was offered from the United State's previous allies. Everything in the US fell to chaos, and there was no way to know what was going on in the other parts of the world. The government was overthrown, all the important officials captured, camps were formed for the civilians.

It has yet to come to light, what exactly North Korea wants, but it's obvious things were about to change.

City officials and representatives either became allies to the invaders, or they were assassinated for their open disagreement. Everybody who was anybody had to choose whether they supported their new leaders -- or they were put to death. Those who were of lesser importance lived their daily lives as usual, but were subject to strict laws and curfews. Cities were separated into different districts, and you needed special passes to cross... if you didn't get that pass, tough luck.

Every rule you can imagine that's terrible and needed to keep the peace, it was made. The effect was isolation, disloyalty between people, and extreme trust issues. People turned their backs on those who needed help, just so they would stay in the good graces of the guards around them. Everything just went to crap for Americans... until something special happened.

There are rumors of rebel groups across the country, entire states that have come back into control of Americans. Of course, they could just be rumors, who knows. But it's some kind of hope, right?
