I really don't want to do economics. In fact, I think it might be a little dangerous for us to even be in a one on one debate since we're trying to act civil with each other :)The one about the Adam and Eve incest? I looked it up and studied but I couldn't find any known reason why God allowed it. Technically speaking, if you believe in Adam and Eve, we're all committing incest now, anyway, since we'd all be related.
However, what would you do if God commanded you and your wife (and you knew for a surety that God existed) to create children to replenish the earth? How would you go about it? You might react strangely to that now, but we'll never know unless we're actually put into that situation.
Basically, there's nothing that I could find that tells us why that incest was allowed.

Uhhh, so our entire lives are based off of incest? How are we intelligent and have varying genes? How are there people with different colored skins? Please, explain these things.
Lauren said that even in evolution we're committing incest.I don't have time to answer all of these questions right now, sadly, since I have a lesson to start preparing for next week, PLUS July 4th festivities to get ready for, so I'll look those answers up, too, and get back to you ASAP.
I warn you, though, it may take a while. Next week I have a babysitting job all week, and then Friday-Saturday I'm spending the night at a friend's house and on Saturday we're headed to Florida. On top of that Friday I have to give a lesson so I have to prepare asap.
Whatever, proving the Bible as fact is impossible, I don't advise you to try if you want to keep your faith.
I've never said I'd try to prove it as fact, I'm merely explaining what you ask. If you don't want an explanation than I suggest not asking.
I won't lose my faith. I'm not as weak as you may think I am in my religion. I'm pretty sure that nothing you say or do can sway me away from it.
I'm pretty sure you are whole-heatedly into it, but I mean...you can only believe in a fake institution for so long before reality hits.
If it's a fake institution. Opinion Davis, please try and get that through your head. There are people that believe in things that have been disproven long ago, for ALL of their lifetime. So, even if it is a "fake institution", I think that I'll last.By the way, I wonder... would you be treating my religion this way if I were another religion that wasn't Christian? Perhaps if I were Bhuddist or followed Hindu? I'm curious.
Well, Buddhism (you spelled it wrong) is actually non-theist, and that is a practice I follow, so no I wouldn't berate that. Hinduism has the caste system, which I find VERY distasteful, so I would argue with you about that. However, neither of those religions claim to be the one true way. My beef with them is non-existent.
"995786 Lauren said that even in evolution we're committing incest. "
If you consider we all came from one cell, then yeah.
Hinduism and Buddhism actually aren't that similar at all.

Not that Jayda would know, she's never bothered learning about religions that are different than hers.
We basically covered every major one, but most in not that much detail. And we combined it with other topics, so that meant less information too.
Davis wrote: "Not that Jayda would know, she's never bothered learning about religions that are different than hers."Do you not read my posts? I've told you before that when I was nearly an atheist and trying to choose what religion I was going to be I studied all sorts of different religions.
You assume way too much for your own good, Davis.
I'll be back later, perhaps.
Lauren wrote: ""Please do not intervene or make a comment, me and Lauren will do that""Only when necessary!! This is their debate, were not supposed to be here!!!! Please stop commenting, or make your own one on one debate, or something!
Rachel wrote: "Davis, I wonder how you would explain miracles, then. The stuff that even science can't."
What constitutes a miracle in your opinion?

Rachel wrote: "Davis, I wonder how you would explain miracles, then. The stuff that even science can't."Even if a miracle did happen, how could you prove that it was a Christian god that made it happen?
