Books to The Big Screen discussion

I haven't read the book, but I really enjoy the show.

From what I know, some of the characters are different in the book version.

Fav character on the show: DAMON. I find him very sexy..definitely chose the right guy to play him :)

Fav couple: Bonnie & Jeremy

I started reading the books and I loved them but I got bored after a while and have lost touch with the book series - however I love the show!!
I actually prefer TV Elena to book Elena, I thought she was a bit shallow and bitchy in the books. I think nina dobrev does a great job with Elena, I love the fact that the Salvatores are drawn to her because of her caring, endearing nature.
Side note - I LOVE KLAROLINE!!!! :D xx

Same for me too. After awhile the books got pretty boring.
I love the tv show though! Damon is gorgeous & Ian Somerhalder plays him well.

@gina: I love Karoline too! She's like the perfect best friend :)

I love this show. Much better than the book series which is a first. Best couple Damon and Elena. Best character Damon and favorite moments are a lot but one of them when she tells damon she loves him season 4 episode 23

This season sucks, I don't like it alt all because my favorite character is dying!!!!~` :( I liked all the others, better. From season 1-4.

I like the books better!!

I don't like the show anymore, this season 5 isn't as good as seasons 1-4.

Really, I still watch just hoping that it will get better. But, Katherine is my favorite character and she is dying.... :(

I agree. This season is just ridiculous!!! There were too many Nina Dobrev's running around for my taste & then (view spoiler)[I cant believe they may kill off Kathrine! (hide spoiler)] Ive been having a hard time getting into this season.

When it was (view spoiler)[Jenna's (hide spoiler)] funeral it was so sad it made me cry ;(!

I have no idea how Nina Dobrev can act all of those parts! Good Lord! I lost tract of how many characters she's had to play! Ha ha

Ahhh I just started watching this show on Netflix (later bloomer, I know) and I'm really enjoying it so far. Nina Dobrev is so beautiful and I'm really enjoying her acting. Can't wait to delve into all the seasons.

What's everyone's favorite episodes so I can keep an eye out for them?

Favorite ep depends on whether u'r team stefan or team damon, i guess;)

I LOVE The Vampire Diaries BUT I Am Something Like 4 Episodes Behind and I Got Spoiled About What Happened :(

I LOVE VAMPIRE DIARIES I'M A HUGE FAN... I own the books and I saw all of the seasons.

I've seen like 10 episodes of The Vampire Diaries but haven't had time to continue. So, summer is 3 days away for me. Should I start it up again? Is it worth it?

I have watched every episode of TVD and it's amazing, even though it's nothing like the books. I really think it's worth it to continue watching it :D

Yeah I think it's just so amazing and really really worth continuing on :)

Alrighty, then :) My last day is tomorrow, so by Friday, I should start it up again.
