101 Books to Read Before You Die discussion

What do you guys think about coming up with some themes to go by over the next year to narrow down some of our nominations? Or do we prefer the free-for-all, since it's a limited list to begin with? What are your thoughts?

I prefer a free for all, given we have a list to choose from.

I agree the list itself is a theme from which we are making our choices.

I do wonder though at what point do we add to the list... For example, when X (insert appropriate number here) books have been read should we add some new books to the mix?

good question Mike. That's actually something the mods have discussed. the fact is, we have reading material for another 7 years at this point, I'd we keep the same pace, So that's not something that well be changing soon, But it's something we'll discuss as a group when it gets closer. I like the idea of completing the list, But having another one ready to go right away. we'll do some planning and thinking about it :-)

I think just the list is fine with me as well.
