Most people walk the trails at night... there's a few glimpses of the road, and if you can see soldiers, they can see you.

✯✯ᔕTᗩᖇᖇᒪIᘜᕼT✯✯ While it may have been safer to walk the trails at night because of the Korean soldiers that roamed the town, Georgie was sure they would be fine. After all, there weren't any soldiers that could be seen and she couldn't see the road, so they were safe right? Well if they kept quiet enough they should be fine anyways, though Georgie wasn't really a quiet person so she wasn't sure if that would really work out. Anyways, she would try her best to keep them safe. They being her, Eddie and Ari, her two best friends, one of them being her cousin as well. Though at this point in life Eddie was practically family to Georgie, almost like the brother she. . . never thought she would end up having.

It was strange having to always live in fear now; always thinking about some soldier spotting them, finding their camp, taking them or killing them on the spot. It was a life Georgie never thought she would ever have to experience but not everything went according to plan. That was life. Nonetheless, it was thanks to Ari and Edmund that she even felt a little safe. They were her two best friends in the entire town, the only people who accepted her for her, so naturally Georgie stuck around them even now, more than happy they made it to the camp.

"Yeah whatever Eddie, I'm pretty sure I can climb the tree way faster than you," Georgie scoffed. "I mean I get it, you played baseball and all that jazz but never underestimate the strength of a dancer. Plus, Ari and I used to climb this old tree in my backyard when we were kids. I almost always beat her. . ." She grinned over at the two of them, wondering if she should hop off to let them have some alone time, but decided against it because she was selfish like that. "Although I wonder between the two of you, who would win? My bestie Eddie? Or my dear cousin, Ari?" The grin widened as a mischievous look sparked in those brown orbs of hers. "We should totally make a contest of this you guys."

(oh look at my shitty post)

Sᴀᴅɪʏᴀ ((Oh look how great it is. :D ))

To others who may have wandered by, they would have immediately grouped the trio as a bunch of idiots. Who else could bear the idea of having fun. In a situation like this. Everything was so grim and tiring, no one seemed to have the heart to do anything fun. Like that hopeless games tent that had been set up, whenever someone went there they seemed just as stressed as they had when they went in. So to most it seemed that Lexi, Georgie and Eddie were not taking the situation seriously. But truth be told, the three were just as frightened as everyone else. Eddie knew and he knew that Georgie and Lexi knew it as well. They just didn't want to think about it. So they tried to relax by doing things like this. And it was working slightly. Honestly, if it hadn't been for Georgie and Lexi, Eddie would have gone insane by now. His two best friends were the only thing keeping him together. He couldn't help but feel safer and happier with them around. Though he wouldn't wish for anyone else to be in such a situation he was glad that Lexi and Georgie were with him.

And he also felt some sort of responsibility over them. Afterall he was already sharing most of his clothes with them. During the attack, Eddie was in the locker room and he had grabbed his duffel bag and baseball duffel as well. He always carried an excessive amount of clothes in it. Ever since what happened to Georgie, he kept an extra pair of their clothes in his bag as well as his own. And then he had his practice and game clothes as well. And an extra sweatshirt. So between the three of them, they could afford a change of clothes. Most had to sit around and wait for their clothes to dry before they could put them back on. Luckily there were some towels and t-shirts left at this place, even if there were a few holes in them.

"I'm pretty sure that I could climb the highest." Eddie retorted, with a grin. "Why don't you come on down so I can prove it?" He challenged, with a mischievous glint in his eyes. Georgie and Lexi always seemed to bring out that side of him. "So, shall we?" Eddie asked, turning to Lexi to see if she accepted the challenge as well.

So going around the trails, alone, without any sort of protection in the form of a weapon? Well, most would consider it a rather dangerous gamble. But honestly, for just a moment there, Ari was able to trick her mind into believing they were back before the war. That this was just another day with her two best friends, able to occupy themselves even with nothing more than some trees ans more trees. Being in Eddie and Georgie's company was enough to relax her as it was, and the fact that they were challenging each other to a competition was normalcy that she missed. Linking her arm with Eddie's as she looked up at the tree and her cousim, expression considering, she arched an eyebrow. "Hmm." Golden blonde locks swishing in her ponytail as she turned her head, eyes falling on Georgie. "I accept this challenge and your inevitable defeat, Georgina." The nickname was something Georgie couldn't stand- precisely the reason she called her it.

Beaming innocently, she turned to Eddie and slid her arm from his. "Be prepared for a T.K.O." She poked his cheek before laughing and turning to face the tree in question. Yeah, it was pretty damn huge. And there was no way Ari would walk away without at least a little scrape- honestly, she was a sucky tree climber. Getting stuck was pretty much the best she could do, and otherwise? She was going to end up falling right on her ass. But! That was okay, because before she did all that? Welp, she was still climbing higher than them. Oh yes, Lexi was nothing if not competitive. Rubbing her hands together and bouncing from foot to foot, a kickboxer's warm-up, she relaxed her shoulders and rolled her neck. "Getting in the zone, guys."

Good Lord, she was weird. But they had long accepted that.

Brown eyes falling back to Eddie, she smiled. "Did you want to go next? Save the victor for last?" She was teasing, of course. Let's be real here for just one second: she knew she was going to loose. Eddie knew she was going to loose, just like Georgie did. These guys knew her better than she knew herself, m'kay? There was no way they thought she was anything than talk- and a good thing too because that's all it was. This contest was more so Eddie against Georgie and that was perfectly cool with Ari.

✯✯ᔕTᗩᖇᖇᒪIᘜᕼT✯✯ "Excuse me? What did you just call me?" Georgie instantly popped up next to her cousin, fingers on the girl's cheek with her brows burrowed. No, she wasn't slapping her silly cousin but more like pinching the girls cheeks. It sounded way more serious than it was, it wasn't serious at all, but if there was one thing that Georgie hated more than being invaded by some hostile country, it was that nickname. Georgina. Way too feminine. Funny coming from a ballerina. But still. Not cool. "Did you just call me Georgina? I'm pretty sure that's not my name. It's Georgia, or Georgie." She pinched the other cheek as well, but made sure not to pinch too hard so as to hurt her dear cousin. "Repeat after me, Georgie. Georgie. Georgie." After another minute of this, she dropped her hands back to her side with a pout, but it quickly turned back into a smile when the both of them accepted the challenge.

With a laugh, she watched Ari trying to get pumped up in order to climb the tree. Yeah, Georgie already knew the outcome would be Ari loosing and Eddie coming out the victor because come on, it was sort of obvious. But there was the chance that dear Edmund might lose on purpose. Just a feeling. Though it was all in fun and games, so who knows what might happen? "Alright, alright Ari, how about you stop talk and just start doing? I mean if you can get more than two feet off the ground of course," she teased, sticking her tongue out at her.

Putting an arm around Eddie's shoulder, Georgie sighed as she brought her hand up to his face, pretending to hold a microphone, acting like a reporter all of a sudden. Just a couple of years ago Georgie would never have done something so silly as this, but it was thanks to Eddie and Ari that she could even be herself. "So Eddie, how you feeling about the competition today? Do you think you can go up Ariella, one of the best tree climbers known to man?" It was hard to keep a straight face, but Georgie managed somehow, though internally she was pretty much ready to laugh her butt off.

Sᴀᴅɪʏᴀ Edmund grinned as Georgie started lecturing Lexi about her name. He actually had to hold back a laugh from the look on Lexi's face from Georgie's face pinching. There was such a mix of emotions, the combination was just magical. Edmund even started chiming in with Georgie. Whatever sympathy he should have felt for Lexi simply wasn't there. He had been in that position many times before. And Georgie always seemed to enjoy pinching his cheeks harder. Edmund remembered that in his first or second meeting with Georgie he had made the mistake of calling her Georgina instead of Georgie. There was the look of the devil in Georgie's eyes when she gave him the pinch-drill. Edmund's cheek was read for two days afterwards. He was pretty sure that it was partially because she wanted to keep Lexi to herself. Honestly, Edmund couldn't remember when he and Georgie had clicked and became such great friends. It just happened over time and by the time they both realized it, it didn't really matter.

Edmund grinned at Georgie's comment and as Lexi moved around in a boxer-style warm up. He wasn't sure what he would enjoy more her prep for the "contest" or her actually trying to climb. Lexi didn't have much balance. She was such a clutz sometimes. But that didn't mean that he or Georgie should underestimate her. Once Lexi put her mind to something, then it was hard not to get her to stop thinking about it and making it her life's goal to get it done. But it was that attitude that got Lexi on the baseball team, instead of softball. Edmund felt like laughing just at the idea of Lexi playing softball. It's was just an easier version of baseball and everyone knew it. The only thing different was the pitching basically. It was kind of offensive that girls had to play such a dumbed down version of baseball.

Edmund was pulled from his thoughts by a Georgie putting an handmade microphone in his face. "Well, Ms. Stavros," Edmund began in that 'stereotypical stuck up actor voice, as he pushed him hair back and 'modeled for the camera.' "I believe my chances of beating my competitor are fairly high. I do, after all, have the best legs around. And as you can see, that tree is fairly difficult, I'm not quite sure how my competitor will be able to get to the first branch. What do you think Ms. Stavros?"
