Hi, I'm new here, still getting the hang of things but already loving this group!

Okay, so I'm working on my second novel and for the past few weeks I've been under siege by the utter certainty that my writing talents do NOT measure up to the story I'm trying to tell. So, I took some time and felt sorry for myself, then decided to get over it and get my fingers moving again! Recently I found this group, and voila, here I am! Finally brave enough to throw my hat in the ring and make my first post.

I'm giving myself two targets: write 500 words per day and no sniveling! ;) Let's see how it goes.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you.

Misha

500 words! that's awesome! Maybe if you write every day, your writing talents will get better? idk. Welcome to the group, and I hope your novel works out. :D

Hey Misha, welcome to the group! Congrats on getting back to writing, sometimes it's hard after leaving for a while. Good luck with your writing goals, we'll be rooting for ya! :D

A bit short of where I was aiming, but it's a start! Here's the best sentence I wrote yesterday: "Memories were huddled in every corner of the room, and she didn't have the heart today to go exploring the past." Well, maybe it's not the best sentence, but it's the one I like best. ;)

okay

*leaves note in large box with a finger print lock, so if Paul comes to visit he can't read it. In the box there is a bar of chocolate too*

Hey guys,

I'm really bored and I wondered what would happen if I left a baby at Paul's place. So that's what I'm going to do! It's a robot but a very sophisticated robot that with the help of magic can do all that a human baby can do as well as grow up. I haven't created multiples for fear of a Rozen Maiden reaction. Which has happened before when multiple dolls have been created with magic. My great great grandmother made multiples of these dolls and they will kill anything and anyone denying the dolls of attention from there orderer.

No people were harmed in the making of this letter

Friday, July 3: 1249 words!

Woo-hoo! Made up for being lax yesterday and then some! Okay, here's my favorite sentence that I wrote today: "Of course, Midge hoped that Adam would have a touch more coordination than young Jimmy when it came to beverages, not to mention more finesse when he went to kiss her goodnight."

BTW, I just posted a short story on my profile! Please check it out if you have the time.

Happy Indpendence Day! I think that artists appreciate independence more than anyone. ;)
